Beneath each post on the right hand side there's some green text that says "Like" - if you like what they're saying, just click that and you have "liked" the post. If you really really like the post you might want to consider adding to their reputation. you can do this by clicking on the star icon at the bottom of the post on the left hand side.

Edit: Also, in relation to adding pictures - If you go to your profile (top right of screen) you can make an album and upload your pictures there. When a picture is uploaded it is given a BBCode - this is found in a box on the right when you click the picture in your album. You can just copy and paste the bbcode for the pictures directly to your post - when you press save, they will appear and you can have as many as you like! ^_^
