Extraction My mum has cancer. Making oil, advice and help please.

They have said that if her poo stays solid passing through her stoma bag they will carry on but if it doesn't then this will be the last try. She is going to see how this goes and if it doesn't work then she is going to talk to the doctors about RSO, I don't know how this will go down in England as Doctors here see cannabis as a 'drug'

Bless her....she has been through a lot.
I'm not sure how the UK Doc's will react to RSO.
My mom told them she was using cannabis for her nerve pain in the hips and the nurse just said good for you....but I suppose it will vary from doc to doc.

They are pleased with mums diet as she has gained all her weight back after loosing some with being poorly in the hospital over Christmas so all things aren't bad.

Do you mind me asking how much she lost..and what body size is she..under weight..average or over weight..?

Has she developed a Sweet Tooth...?

Hi Mossy, my mum is under just under 5ft tall, she has always been around 7 stone until her later years when she has gone to 8 stone. Mum lost about 10lbs all in told but has now put it back on. Mum has always had a sweet tooth that runs in the family but all her tastes have changed now. Things she used to like but not any more, stuff she didn't but now does, can't tolerate to hot or to cold, thing are hard to manage. She can't take bicarb of soda because of her stoma, greens because of her stoma, Effing everything because of her stoma. Things are not very simple here because her stoma , it complicates everything,. I'm pulling my hair out because I'm running out of ideas of how to save my mum.

Hi guys, yesterday mum went for her 3rd session of chemo. They are giving her 5-FLOUROURACIL at the moment and she 'seems' ok with it, a few little things here and there. The stuff that made her really ill was IRINOTELAN. i'm not aloud near her at the moment as I'm full of cold which sucks but I chat to her every day so not all bad.

Hi all,

Last friday mum had a scan and got the results yesterday.

The main bowel tumor has shrunk by 20%, the liver tumors have rerduced but no change in the lung tumors as they are not targeting them? They are giving mum a few weeks off then give her another 2 sessions of chemo instead of the 4 as it keeps making her poorly.

I don't really know how to take this. Straight off it seems good news but when you start to think about it, it's not that good.

Mum stopped taking the oil part way through her chemo but I have told her see IS going back on it when the hospital have finished with her.

I'm struggling to raise her ph, even naturally it's hard as everything effects her stoma but I will persist, I have no choise.

For now I'm sort of happy, any more developments and I will let you all know.
