Hello family, I want to pick your brain early this morning if you don't mind so fire up a j and tell me what you think.
The biggest down fall to growing indoors is that you will never match the suns rays. Not saying you can't grow great plants indoors but it'll never be as power full as the sun.
Now we all know that, but I wanted to point out another factor I think is critical but I've never seen covered.
on/off switch:
In nature the sun doesn't just turn off and on. I think this is the second biggest thing we need to understand. The sun rises, it peaks then it sets. I think all plants know this and having a light on a timer is very unnatural to a plant.
My theory: what if u could create a light to simulate the sun rising peaking, and setting? If there was a way to have like a internal timer so the first 4 hours it runs at a lower intensity, the next 8 hours it'll run at full intensity next 4 run at 75% then the last 2-4 hours back down to a lower intensity do you think this would have a more natural effect on the growth of indoor plants?
If you have any other ideas to improve indoor growing to simulate a more natural environment please share!
