Mycorrhizal fungi

No,don't start to far ahead of time.If they cant find any roots once they are actvated they will die in a short time.

Looks like you got a lot of good info, but I'll give my 2cents anyway if it helps. After learning about myco and beneficial bacteria, I will never go without them. I grow mainly in coco/perlite mix, but it's the same principle in soil as well.

I use zho root inoculant when transferring, directly to the root zone and then I drench with a top feed (10% runoff) every 2 weeks @ 1/2 tsp a gallon. Works great and makes my roots explode! I also use voodoo juice in conjunction with my feed regimen, feeding daily at 2ml a gal in veg and 5ml a gal in flower. Voodoo juice adds more variety to the beneficial bacteria mix. There are many products similar to it, like botanicare aquashield.

Remember to add carbo load, molasses or bud candy so the little critters have something to feed on and they will thrive.

Hope that helps.

Yes, without roots there is nothing for them to colonize. It takes about two weeks for them to become activated but once established they will continue to grow along with the root system. Multiple treatments aren't necessary. One good treatment in the beginning is enough.

Do it every 2nd week GA!! Starting on 2nd. week. It is what is in their brochure for Great White! Beneficial root tonic!! Like Muddy said, there has to be roots established first, but once its there, carbs are required to maximize the colony. Great stuff!!

Good question. When I first set up my hydro and was having problems with root slime, I did use some tea made from Great White and Bud Candy. Put it in a 5 gallon bucket with a couple air stones and bubbled it for 24 hours. I'd be curious to see what Great White had to say about that. Hint, hint.

I'm not to sure there gonna tell me how to grow there product? I want to grow more great white cause that stuff is expensive....And I thought since it's a fungus that i could make a batch of nutrient solution (malt, corn syrup, distilled water)like for mushroom spores and colonize it with great whites spores?
