'Nanners help and advice please!

If you ever think any hermies have fully opened, you can cover that bud with a plastic bag gently. Then cut it of and remove it safely from the grow space to minimize pollination. I never mess with heavily blueberry strains for the fear of hermies.

I've had the same problem once. I just pulled all the bananas I could find. I missed a few and ended up with a few seeds on that plant. The two other plants I was growing in the same tent were fine, no seeds. I think you'll be fine if you try to get rid of most of them.

Iv just finished 3 dp autoblueberry and came across the same issue with 1 of them.. its was 7weeks roughly but i has same issue regarding another space to hold the plant.. i didnt run rish found male polen sacks so i just chopped it dowm but the options yours my friend

Hi all,

Just wanted to add an update to this thread in case any other people are searching for info on this issue in the future. In my experience too many threads are left without updates so you never know how they panned out.

I went with the advice given here and plucked any pesky nanners that I could see developing with clean tweezers. I was using a SCROG so I’m sure a few went un-plucked that I couldn’t get to. Time will tell if I’ve any seeds lurking but I didn’t see anything during the trimming other than the odd nanner.

Anyway, I cropped her this weekend (day 81) and the buds are in brown paper bags slowly drying out, looking forward to sampling after a good cure.

I’ve no final weights yet but will update when I do but here are a few photo’s of my girl before the chop.

She was grown in a little stealth cab (80cm x 50cm x 100cm) SCROG style under an 80W Hans Panel LED in “live” organic soil and she was only fed molasses and worm cast tea so I’m pretty pleased with the result.

Very fruity smelling and sticky sticky sticky! Scissors were gumming up every 5 minutes which was a pain….but a good one to have! Depending on the smoke I will definitely be growing again. I’ve a couple of StarRyders waiting to go in once the Blueberry is out of the bags and into Jars.

Thanks again for all who chipped in to help, very much appreciated! Truly a great network of fellow gardeners who are happy to help and share info. It’s good to stand on the Shoulders of Giants!

Happy Days :)

Trimix.

Hi All,

Just a quick update if anyone is interested......

So after a 3 week + cure the final weight for this grow was 3.4 Oz so I'm happy with the results.

Nice smooth smoke, not the strongest (maybe I cut too soon or because I was experimenting with a water only soil mix) but a nice mellow couch effect for before bedtime. The smell is like a blueberry muffin, very sweet!

So far I have yet to find any seeds so the advice I've been given by you guys was bang on, thanks again!

I've now got a couple of Star Ryders on the go and have been so impressed with my 80W Hans Panel LED that I've purchased another 70W unit so lets see how they go!

Stay lucky

Trimix
