Need a Diagnosis Please!

Yeah, you could try to flush it now if you wanted to no? Then refeed last gallon with a low dose nute mix at 5.8 pH going in.

You are right that in soil it should be 6.5 but since Promix is a soilless mix you want to treat a little closer to hydro. I use Promix HP and it has a little lime in it, so the pH is balanced to around 7. I feed at 5.8 and let it rise to high 6’s as it dries out, and feed again at 5.8. Repeat.

okay well since i hae to go back on the road for another two days im just going to flush my plant with 6 litres of 5.8 ph water then ill mix up another batch of nutes at 5.8 at 1/4 strength and pray!. im so glad i posted in here or i never would have caught my error. i sure hope it helps, and ill have to be sure to continue feeding at 5.8 especially my new seedling. im using fabric pots so im not really worried about overwatering issues or antyhing, im going to go flush right now

okay well its been officially flushed with 6 litres of 5.8ph water and i ran another 2 litres through of 5.8 nuted water mixed at 1ml/litre. now all i can do is put it back into the tent and hope for the best. ill have to make sure from this pint on everything planted in this pro mix is phd at 5.8 including any water i feed my new cheese sprout

thanks for the very important information guys! my plant surely would have probably died had i not of been informed of this mistake! ill be sure to update in here with new pics if things start looking better.

No problem. I bet it will recover. Good luck!

so hey if you dont mind my asking, as a new grower do you think fir the future i shoud continue using this pro mix stuff or would you suggest going with an actual soil mix? to me it would seem that i have a larger ph range to work with if using soil would i not? if pro mix is 5.8 to 6.2 and soil being 6.0 - 7.0. are there any great benefits to going with pro mix over a soil mix?

its just a shame this went so long into flowering, makes me wonder how much better my plkant would have grown otherwise. oh well live and learn for next time. have you by chance ever had any issues with germinating seeds in pro mix. i noticed both my last seeds sprouted with looked like a slight tip burn on first leaf set but then too off after that. my current cheese seed only seems to have sprouted with one cotyledon and the very very teeny first set of leaves i can see already as well got slightly burnt again, im hoping that like my last seed it will grow through it. ill know when i get back in a couple days. but im just wondering if thats normal for germinating seeds in pro mix

I've had issues using cal/mag with tap water.
Hard water + cal/mag = lockout issues. Too much calcium.
After you flush, ditch the cal/mag and use epsom salts @ 5ml/gal for the needed magnesium. I've never had to supplement calcium when using tap water.

yeah i forgot to mention after i flushed i didnt add the cal mag, since its most likley a lockout problem i figired i wouldnt need it if i can get the ph in the right zone

You have done all you can do. Now just wait and see. I think she will be fine and recover well. Just need to get the ph dialed in. You will figure it out what it needs to be going in so it's good. Then that mix can work.

yeah im expecting that its probably not going to yield much now, not that i was expecting much anyway since i was actually attempting a mainline experiment on an auto flower, lol. but i wish i hadnt of made this mistake. its really going to mess up my experiment, i suppose i could always try to mainline my cheese that just sprouted, lol. now that i know i need a different ph range.
