Need help!! first 2 leaves turning yellow and onather problem [first grow]

Here are a few green fungi, just in case people aren't aware that fungus can be green. The one in the middle is black mold before it dies. Its an Algae/Mold.

I agree with Muddy also, you should have some nutrients in the water, without it, you will get no growth. I just wouldn't use a full strength nutrient, because of your nute burn. The rooting hormone I use HAS all NPK. its rated at a 1-1-1. Its Bio Root from General Organics. I use it instead of chemical cloning solution for rooting my clones. The stuff is Awesome, and much cheaper that most chemical rooting hormones.

I disagree on having no nutrients in your solution. Even seedlings need a small amount of N, as well and some P and K. I would suggest using 1 ml per gallon of Grow, Micro and Bloom until you have 3-4 sets of leaf nodes, then increasing it to 1/4 of the recommended strength. Your first pictures suggest that the rockwool is too wet. Your water level should be below the rockwool. If it's sitting directly in the solution the rockwool can stay too wet and eventually cause root rot. If that's the case it could also explain the turn down of the leaves in your last picture. The green you have on top of the rockwool is algae growth from the rockwool being exposed to light. Next grow you might consider setting the rockwool a little lower and covering it with the hydroton.

This is what I use

..OM, I'm referring to green from chorolphyll,...in that algae... what's your point here anyway? Yes, there are some symbiotic algal-fungal relationships... that's not the case here though,... Are you saying the food molding in those pics above are that color because of symbiotic algae? Likely, those are penicillium or aspergillus molds, and that color comes from their spores....

TDK, vinegar is an easy way to kill algae and mold both. Its a great anti-fungal and mold inhibitor.

You can dab a q tip in vinegar and apply it directly to the organic matter. Its a quick and safe way to kill the parasite without hurting your plant.

I was simply pointing out the fact that there Are green fungi.
Mold will grow regardless of light, but moisture is a must, where as algae requires light.

I agree that there should be nutrience, but as i have stated, my root booster has nutes, just very minimal.

I even stated before that i should have asked if his had nutes.

I simply felt as though you were tell TDK that my help was invalid, and i simply wanted to clear up that the 2 can be symbiotic, especially when too much moisture is involved.

I told TDK the same as Muddy did, however I called it mold instead of algae, either way, lack of light, nutes and moisture will keep it at bay, and the root booster will help his roots recover, while curing his nute burn problem. That should help his plant to grow some viable roots, so that when he does add higher concentrates of nute's later, the plant will be able to take them in and recover quickly.

....and I was simply pointing out that the green in fungi does not come from their own native chlorophyll,...again, specifically to this case, not the general biological world...which in nearly any situation such symbiosis will be a lichen species, the last thing you will see around a DWC set-up...pardon the lack of specificity earlier :slaps: ... yes, I saw your late edit too,...

Sometimes, things don't come out exactly right when I type them, my brain sometimes moves faster than my hands, or vice versa. I think we all just want to help, and thats why we are here, but you are right, DWC is a whole different world.

The last thing i wanted to do is start a pointless argument, especially while TDKs kids are in such bad shape.

BTW, I respect your opinions, You seem to have your head on straight, so I appreciate you calling out my misguided meanderings. I intended no harm, just trying to help.
