I'm afraid I may run into this same problem.....

Some of these may help.

I used to use the ratchet hangers to hang my lights but I went to Home Depot and bought (6) 3' lengths of a small chain and mounted these to my tent cross members using zip ties. Then I got some 'S' hooks and use these to connect the lights, using the mounting cables to the chain and it works great. Very easy to adjust as well as I gained about 4-5 inches for height. (I didn't like the fact of the ratchet releasing and smashing the light(s) down onto my girls)

My next step will be not using the cables at the top of the lights but maybe running picture wire through the fasteners and then finding a way to hook them to my 'S' hooks. This should gain me an additional 5-6 inches. I just need to make sure I leave enough room for air to get to the fans.

Using these methods, I'll gain almost another foot.

I would look up SCROG or try this technique out. I have a galaxyhydro 300 watt LED about 12 inch from mine and they're doing good, just lookout for leaf burns

Since you haven't started flowering yet, your stems should be fairly soft and pliable? You could start bending them over which will help produce more colas (or larger colas) and will give you more head room. If you can get her bent over 90 degrees in an L shape that would work quite well. I have previously bent mine into a full upside down U and it worked quite well. You lose that huge main cola but end up with more smaller ones that are still very nice. You can bend her all over the place if your careful. (just be sure to use a safe word)

My simplest method for slowing vertical growth has always been to remove a lot of the big fan leaves; that way the plant will slow down until those leaves have been replaced.

LowStressTraining. LST for short. i'd recommend this for lack of head space. are you hanging with the stock hanging cables? you can shorten them or replace with a small chain to shorten that up. 12 inch is not bad. I have a plant now that grows to within 4 in everytime I raise the light
