this is my 53 day old non-auto TUTANKHAMON.this is day 26 of 12/12.first off im using ffof and fox farm nutes only 1/2 strength of fox farm feed schedule, and cal/mag + 1/2 tsp per 1/2 gallon on a feed,cal/mag,then plain phd water schedule so she gets fed every 8 -11 days so its not nute burn anyways I usualy add lime to my soil but must have forgot on this 1 cause last time I fed was 6.8 in and 6.1 out but since then I did a sledgehammer salt buildup flush 6.7 in and ? out I forgot so this looks like mag def which makes sense cause cal mag would b locked out right?so should I add 1/2 tsp per 1/2 gallon cal/mag phd to 7.2 this time or how does that work?i do remember reading something about never jumping ur ph more than .5 at a time.basiccaly WHAT WOULD U DO ? any help like always on this site very appreciated OH YEAH THANK YOU VETS you also r very very appriciated

Yeah like nam said half strength is a bit too much unless she's asking for it -

Most people complete entire grows on just quarter strength - less is always more - she can tell you she wants more food but she cant tell you when that foods going to be too much. Like Nam said you want to leach all the nutes out of the soil with 2 x pot size of plain water and then after that build up your feed again a quart strength solution - Damaged tips wont improve but damage should cease else where

thanx guys I really don't think its nute burn so this evening before I put her to bed ill take some full pics in better light cause I don't want to put more water on her shes already been pot soaking for 5 days I don't want to have to fight root rot also but yeah ill put up some more pics later thanks

I think ill wait a day or 2 and see what happens I think it was from smoking Pakistan ryder for 3 weeks and started smoking hybrid this morn...think different....got me thinkin to much...little different then that 100% inica.but ill post pics tonight thanx guys

Whats your EC/PPM/TDS ?

anyways I usualy add lime to my soil but must have forgot on this 1 cause last time I fed was 6.8 in and 6.1 out but since then I did a sledgehammer salt buildup flush 6.7 in and ? out I forgot so this looks like mag def which makes sense cause cal mag would b locked out right?
6.8 - 6.1 0.7 - 5.4 - Soil's approximate pH -
Whats your water source?
Whats the EC/PPM/TDS of your water source before adding anything?
Whats the natural pH?

so should I add 1/2 tsp per 1/2 gallon cal/mag phd to 7.2 this time or how does that work?
Id say to lay off adding anything else until she dries out completely then to continue with a ph of 7.0 of plain water to try and bring her into a comfy zone - Her roots are getting burned at the moment and somethings telling me (Although i could be wrong) that shes been overfed, nutes have built up in the soil of which she hasnt used - these contain cations which are acidicly charged and drive the mediums ph down. My advice would be to leach out all nutrients and start fresh

i do remember reading something about never jumping ur ph more than .5 at a time.basiccaly WHAT WOULD U DO ? any help like always on this site very appreciated OH YEAH THANK YOU VETS you also r very very appriciated
pH swings of any kind are like swift blows to the nutsack to plants. I personally like to keep no higher than 7.0 in to raise soil pH - but finding whats raising or lowering your mediums pH is the key to solving the problem.

pic update

whoa dude im still new to this ...ha ha I never checked ppm don't even know how.i usually take a cheap soil ph test and add lime mix up and plop my babies in there and just water and feed at different ph levels like water=6.5 nutes=6.8 then 6.5 then 6.3....call it luck but most always seems to work out fine..i was getting cement hard soil on early grows but now I use bottled spring water and have very loose soil...anyways heres some pics I just got worried cause I checked the runoff and tripped me out but this morning I gave her water phd at 7.1 and 6.4 came out what does that mean? I don't know.how to fix? I don't no.should I say fuck checkin the runoff and go back to what I was doin before? I think so if you see anythink wrong in pics or have some advice hit me up thanx

Yeah looking at the plant as a whole - it does just look like a slight pH imbalance causing it to look like nute burn/def - if it worsens take some pics but i think your good to keep doing what your doing mate

7.1 - 6.4 = difference of 1.3 - 1.3 - 7.1 = 5.8 - so its coming up bro

Id say your good to go at 7.0 from now on until shes in the 6.3-6.8 region - then start watering again at 6.5

And just to point out - this is a recent issue and your soil looks to be in good buffering shape - as if your pH had been imbalanced the whole grow you would see much more damage.

Try thinking about what youve done differently in the last 2 weeks - month - to before any damage occured - this may also help you diagnose and avoid it next time
