Outdoor Need help with a good outdoor strain

Yes, deer can be a problem. I've had a goat eat half a plant and a deer eat half of another. I've had good success with Liquid Fence Deer and Rabbit Repellant. Spray the plants and the area around them once a month. I could see where the deer walked right past and never touched them. Three years with no problems.

I'm going to ask one our moderators, cres, to drop in here and talk to you. His High Rise Seeds is part of RCMC, Royal Canadian Marijuana Collective, and his seeds are available there. He's developed some early flowering photos that might work well in your area.

Herbies only sells strains that deer eat...lol Just joking. Buy some dried blood and powder/dust your plants with it deer/rabbit wont touch it. But dont use it in the ground.

The knowledge I come here for!!

Ditto!

I'm looking for one that will give me close to a lb and is ready in sept, after that its starts getting cold here, sometimes by mid oct we start getting snow. Thanks for the reply There Muddy!

Two of my early strains are capable of 1lb yields, you will need all day sun and at least 30 gals of soil, weather it be a container or in the ground..Both will finish in late sept or earlier if your below 46N Lat.

2012 HighRise Seed discriptions.

Bluebonic Guerrilla
Bluebonic X GG#3
A massive multi-branched pheno was selected from the Bluebonic. This pheno was tested outside. It was strong branched, multi top and had no mold problems. It was crossed to fine smelling GG#3 males. These seeds are massive in size. Tested outdoors and inside and these will produce a large harvest of mold resistant tight buds. Expect all finished outside before end of September. Expect 1/2 to 1 lb yields when grown in full sun.

SK#1 X GG#3

A fine Skunk which dates back to circa 1992. The SK#1 has tight nuggs and has a superior high. It was crossed to fine smelling GG#3 males. These have been tested inside and out and produced very similar SK#1 buds. Skunky and early. Very typical Christmas tree shape. Outside harvest mid to late sept with up to 1lb.

Another question in this topic. I have to put them in pots? I think I start az outdoor grow in april, but I just want to plant them in the dirt. I want to buy AllMix, and mix it with the ground in the place where I want to grow. Its workable, or I need pots?

Any idea?:confused::confused:

Ground holes is fine just spend the time and money to amend the nicely...lots of fert for ground holes. If you want a huge plant you need a huge hole dug up turned over shaken out fluffed up... at least 2-3 feet wide and 2 feet deep...

Im thinking of going with Cres Idea of the 30 gal pots and just using promix mixed with alot of pearlite

Thanks for the info Cres! I was losing hope of no one answering. I have a great full sun spot, just going to be a bitch getting water up in there. Maybe if I can get a couple 55 gal plastic drums I can save my self a little work and collect some rain water, the rest I'll have to go in by hand

I've decided to go with Cres on this one. Now in the big 3.8 cubic bales, what promix should I use? Or does it make a difference? Pro Mix BX or Pro Mix HP? Wow thats alot of cash for 8 plants. I'm going with 30 gal smart pots for each. I'm just gonna hump the water to them when needed. Should I mix anything in the soil or just use the promix and pearlite?

I like BX place a smart pot in the swamp in 1-2" of water and you wont have to water it... OK here is the deal if your going to grow above ground then be prepared to water that 30 gal smart pot every 2 days... about 5 gals.

Or you can grow in the ground and you dont always have to water plants that are in the ground...depends on your weather... Where I am I have never watered a plant thats in the ground ever...
