Outdoor Need help with a good outdoor strain

I like BX place a smart pot in the swamp in 1-2" of water and you wont have to water it... OK here is the deal if your going to grow above ground then be prepared to water that 30 gal smart pot every 2 days... about 5 gals.

Or you can grow in the ground and you dont always have to water plants that are in the ground...depends on your weather... Where I am I have never watered a plant thats in the ground ever...

Wow, Thats alot of water to be luggin, 40 gallons at a time..... When you say swamp, do you mean still water or can I put them in a running stream? I would think that stagnent swamp water would cause problems but you guys are the pros thats why Im askin. For dear and stuff Im going to try out the liquid deer and rabbit repellent, 2 times a month

By swamp he means a place that's waterlogged...ideally an area that looks pretty dry but when you step on it, there's a squish and a little water wells up...

Pooled stagnant water will cause problems as many times as not...

I'm going to use Pro Mix BX in 30gal smart pots, just wondering what and how much I should add to the mix besides lots of pearlite, worm castings....etc

Depends on whether you're going organic or not. The easiest, often cheapest method is Osmocote (non-organic) at an application rate of 1 cup per 15 gallons of soil. You'll also want to add plenty of dolomite lime. Cres likes 10 pounds of lime under his tub in the swamps. If not in the swamp, I find 2 TBSP per gallon to be sufficient.

Im gonna grow organic, Im using a soil mix for my autos that muddy had posted awhile back before I joined I just read. I dont think it would be good for 30 gallon pots So Im looking for a simple mix to mix with the pro mix. Worm castings Kelp etc. Anyone got any mixes that work well for you?

Its alot harder outside, to go organic because of the animals... if you use dried blood or bone meal your holes/containers will get "dug up"... I always like bat guano and seabird guano, but a simple organic fert such as 2-3-3 or such works fine be sure to mix it up 3 weeks early...

Hey brother,Hoews the day?! Well I hope.Myself am just a few hours south of you dude.So I have the same issues at times.I grow a photo every year(Last year and the one prior)outdoors too.And the strain IMHO depends on size,need/uses and ofcourse photo period and overall what your shootinf for as far as taste and strength go.I find the best way(I have TONS of deer, moles n such )is to buy(If cost is not in issue really)Deer fencing at Lowers or the like. But I use chicked wire/fence and layer it twice and add an extention and burry in around 6 inches in the dirt while mounting it on four 3ft. rebars in the ground to provide a decent framework. Also, Urine, hair and such will put off many deer and pests of the like.

With a 2-3-3 fert how much would you add into the promix for each 30gal pot, and dude thanks for the help, someone else mentioned the hair and urine thing, and someone also mentioned getting the Deer And Rabbit invisible fence spray.

Nice lookin plant there dude! Looks nice and healthy

Take a 6 pack with you gardening and start drinking on the way to your grow. It's nice to drink beer and tend to the garden on a sunny day and once you're done the 6 pack you'll be able to piss an invisble fence all around your garden
