Hey guys,

I'm pretty new to the forums and growing. Doing an indoor grow which is on day 46 right now. Ordered all feminized autos from gorilla. It appears to me that one of the plants is a hermie now and I'm worried. I could use some advice. Some specifics about the grow:

-10 auto bomb and 1 auto critical going
-Using Pro Mix - no ferts in soil
-The temp of the room has been mostly 71-76 but a couple days it got into the 80s for a little while
-I've been using buddha grow, buddha bloom, and cal mag for nutes but always lower than the recommended dosage
-Everything has been going great the whole grow in my opinion with the exception of some yellow spotting on a couple of the plants but it doesn't seem to have effected anything
-The one that is now worrying me appeared to be the best plant for most of the grow. Always very healthy. It was short, stocky, and what appeared to me to be a bunch of bud sites.
-Closer inspection today revealed thin and skinny "flowers" and I think I can see many seeds starting in there

Since I am really new to this, I'm not very good at detecting what makes a plant start to herm or what I could have done to stop it. They are all well into flowering now as you would expect at day 46.

Should I get it out of there immediately?
Will it negatively effect the other ladies in there? And if so, is it too late to stop that from happening?

Just hoping someone can give me a little explanation on if and why this is happening and what I should do.

Hi Hershey :) Can you post a picture or two, so we can see what you're seeing? I've got a plant right now, in week 7 of flower, that has pistols bursting through calyxes and it initially made me thing herm, but after looking at them through a magnifier, realized they were just the calyxes "blossoming" a new set of pistols. When I first noticed it, they looked like little skinny white "flowers", too! But, I dug into a couple with a pin, and they aren't seeding, just blooming... with gusto.
With closeup pics of the suspect areas of your plant, we should be able to suss it out.
Best to you!

Yes absolutely. I'll have to upload them tomorrow though. I won't be around them again until tomorrow unfortunately.

Sex advice?

Wear a condom bro.

Oh yea, and pics... Post pics...

Of the plant, not the condom.

Peace.

Sex Advice?

Have as much as you possibly can.

I don't think very many people have sat at death's door looking over their life and thought, "Shit, I had way too much sex!"

...But avoid Penguins! :tiphat:

Haven't had a chance to get pics yet but has anyone ever experienced this before? It is possible for an auto to herm, correct? And if this did occur, should I get it away from the others ASAP? Can anyone school me on this a little? I know its hard to know exactly whats going on with no pics.

HI, Hershey :) Here is a pic of a test strain that I'm growing out for DP:

99.9% sure that those are male parts. Does your plant look really close to this one? If so, its very likely a male, and unless you want it to pollen up the place, it'll need to go. In my case, I know I've got a few days before it pops little pollen pods, and I'm waiting to hear if DP wants me to do something with it as part of the testing.
I hope that helps :) Best to you!

ps: This strain is a photoperiod strain, but the seed was a fem, so...
