Hi people,

I have a few plants here that im not to sure if are ready. they are at day 63
auto sweet afghan delicious
i have grown before but i dont think ive ever cut at the perfect time.

Also tried to look at trichs but i cant seem to get a decent enough photo and i dont like to use the microscope, i feel like im damaging the bud by pressing against it. i have got one and have been trying but cant seem to get a good picture without pressing on the buds.

Thanks

Nice plants ... I'd switch to plain water for the next 10 days to 2 weeks and then harvest them ... :vibe:

I use two scopes all the time and never had a problem with damage to a bud. It's better you get a scope and see for yourself what the trichomes are telling you versus a guess.

Il give it another go tonight with the scope then. Just can't seem to hold it still and get a good picture. And like I said, I don't like pushing the scope on the bud. Il try though, haha

Unless you're interested in harvesting individual buds based on the color of their trichomes then going by the condition of the plant (leaves and pistils) is the easiest way to determine harvest time ... once harvest time (plant maturity) is reached the plant will be covered in trichomes that are a range of colors from clear to dark amber ...

These two pics were taken harvest day from the same plant ... Likely the same bud ....

I had another look through the microscope tonight.
I was surprised. Saw quite a few milky and quite a few clear and like a few Amber here and there, hardly any Amber to be honest.
I actually thought they where literally done as most of the calyxs have swollen and a lot of hairs shriveling.

Also some buds are like rock solid, I thought this was a sign of being near enough done.

Thanks

The pictures show a plant that is in the prime of life and a good 2 weeks from done ... time to flush and prepare to dry and cure ...
