Hey folks,
I have been around for awhile, first lurking and learning and then jumping in for my first Autopot grow and now on my second autopot grow. Please feel free to follow along, links are in my signature.
I am an old seventies hippie, that back in my teen years in Florida grew some 10-12 foot landrace strains in my mother's backyard and later in my own backyard. Back then we did not know shit about growing that I had not read in Ed Rosethal's Marijuana Growers Handbook. Heck, we grew monsters with cow manure and Miracle Grow. I had a six foot privacy fence and as they got close to going over the top, we would train them to grow sideways along the top of the fence. Kept this up until my daughter became old enough to know what was going on and I just had to stop. So, for almost 30 years, I did not grow or smoke always concerned about being an influence on my kid and back then they were seizing people's real estate if you got caught growing. So another effective deterrent for me.
Fast forward thirty years, I now live way out in the country with five acres of riverfront land and with no one else but me left at home and plenty of medical info coming out on cannabis, I just had to start growing again for some relatives and friends that need the meds. Of course the growing world has turned upside down with new info, strains, growing techniques, lights, and soils. I had to learn from scratch how to grow all over again. So a couple years ago, I grabbed a tent, LED panel, and some clones, and went to work creating a huge jungle, with a DWC setup, in my tent with no real knowledge of indoor growing or training tech. Managed to still harvest nearly a pound on my first grow.
Then I found out about autoflowers and tried growing some of them. As I like to say, I killed more seeds learning to grow autoflowers, than I have harvested so far. :smoking: I finally lucked upon the Autopot section of this forum and decided to give them a try and am I ever glad I did. So, you can find me with an active grow journal over in the Autopot forum.
Great to be here and hopefully will be for some time to come!
