New Grower New girl, need help, autoflower trimming

If those pictures are recent they are fine so just keep feeding bloom nutes and keep your PH in line,

I made this exact same mistake the very first time i grew under a 600watt HPS i was just 16 and thought that i was doing it good by "pruning" it then found out that those are like the plants lungs and NEVER to cut them off! I was so stupid lol. I tried to tell the friend that was my grow-partner to stop cutting the leafs (the plants were in house house) he didn't listen and killed alot of plants. When i think back to how big and awesome they coulda been it makes me rage a little. He was weird he was smoking the fan leafs and i was like wtf? Everytime i went round there was more leafs cut off lol. The light was mine so in the end i got fed up and took it back out his house because it was just a waste of time. The cops eventualy became the new owners of that light but thats another story........

I saw a video on you tube about that practice and tried a comparison grow.the pruned plant survived but yield was a lot lower. namvet25 is absolutely right. in the last weeks of flowering the plant feeds off those fan leaves to drive flowering. don't remove any leaves unless they block buds and cannot be moved and tucked out of the way. with photos you could give the plant more veg time to recover but it is still not a good practices.some light pruning may help if buds are blocked but the aggressive pruning shown on you YouTube is a bad practice

IMO no you have not killed your plants, you may have inhibited there ability to grow at the pace they were but they will survive. I will only affect yeild, not potency or anything. No there is nothing you can give the roots really to repair the damage. Chalk it up as a lesson very well learned.

They say lessons that are learned hardest are learned best.

That is why time and time and time again the response to question X is it depends. Because what is working with literally one plant out of the same seed package and another could be totally different due to varying phenotypes therfore requring different fine tuning.

The only way to truly get bigger yeilds or more potency or lst or scrog or this or that is all in one very simple answer and it is a philosphy of mine.

It is very simple; the more time you spend with your plants the better they will be. Period thats it, if you want to know this or that about growing plants spend as much time watching them grow and your results will be exponetially connected with your effort.

I spend anywhere from 6-10 or even 12 or 20 hours a day in my garden(currently just waiting on seeds grrrr stoopid customs)

As a result I have never been disapointed at the end of any grow. You want better plants sit in your garden and watch them grow, take up nutrients and how they act when you do x,y,or z and that is the best indicator of what you should or shouldn't do.

WITH all that being said, yes still post and read and ask as many questions as you can because there are what I consider top level botanists here in this forum and almost everyone is ready and willing to help answer any questions that come up.

Your ladies will be fine, just dont cut any more leaves off and you should be fine. Because otherwise they look very healthy and right where they should be. It doesnt look like you took that much off(of course I dont know how bushy they were to start with) so all in all you probably think it is worse than it really is.

:smoke::Aloha::420::Growing:How many plants will a 400watt hps light can grow at once I'm doing 4 and I feel like I'm stretching it. I want to move to a cannabis friendly state so bad. I don't trust these people in the south where I live to ask or let anyone know about my grow. the fear with this plant is so stupid and it's almost impossible to get answers to any questions i might have. I'm sticking with auto flowering because of space. Promax dirt and floraNova for grow and bloom. bottled water for the ph. other then that. oh humidifier and fans.No co2 plenty of outside airflow. is the basic setup I got good enough? I've tried two crops never had a harvest would love to get the hang of caring for my ladies. thank you all who responded to me.

When you say bottled water for PH what do you mean?

The biggest problem I had when I first started growing was not knowing how key PH was to Nutrient Uptake.

Basically if your PH isnt right then your Plant cannot take up the nutes through the roots causing nutreint lockout. Make sure you PH your water after you add your nutrients because that is what you are feeding your plants, also if you water to runoff test the runoff as well to kind of get a feel for what your soil PH is(or get a soil pH meter about 60 USD)

Also, I feel you on living and growing in the south. I just moved from Texas to Colorado :) I could not be persecuted any more for what I love to do- Grow the best Cannabis there is.

You CAN grow 4 plants under a 400 watter, the thing that more light does is increase the plants ability to grow by using more lumens for photosynthisis, thus increasing yeild. So your plants will grow just fine under a 400w but you would see a bigger yeild if you used a 600 or 1kw.

If i were using a 400w I would probably supplement the lights with some LEDS or High Powered CFL's(personally I would never use CFl's but some swear by them) and mount them on the plants periphery(sp) to make sure those side buds get nice and fat. Hope this helped

Why are these leaves curling up none of the other plants are doing it and they get the same attention?this is not so easy CAM00063.jpg

They look fine, perhaps follow advice on care from the experts here only. However your plants look great and are on the final stretch. Care to share a little about the strain, age, nutes used etc?
