Lighting new GN Units

Their Grownortherns lights bro DP sell them from there new LED store which is called Crazy LEDs hence the sticker.

So lights bought in GN differ from DP Crazy LEDs?

There are many questions remaining unanswered, but I am happy that they had started sales and distribute lights around so that we will see the results ASAP. Better as prolong it into next year.

How are you satisfied with 80x80 diffuser? Is the light too wide or not? I am totally confused about these diffusers with angle range from 20 to 90. If 80x80 comes as standard, will buyer be able to order something else or anything else as 80x80 will always be only optional?

I have already asked jeremy, he has not answered yet, he must be very busy these days.

The only difference is the HS1 that DP sell has a Crazy LED sticker,it's the same light.

Couldnt be more impressed bro and the 2 with 80x80 seem to fill the room well, without trying both diffusers I couldn't tell you which is best.
I could be wrong but I think the light will come with the 80x80 as standard and you add the other diffusers if you wish. I will do a few grows with the standards before i think about the rectangular footprint casting diffuser.

Here are the plants they are flowering, been using the HS1 since the 12th.

When Grow Northern sold their "MS006" light & Dutch passion sold the exact same light but called it the "High Lite 006".

Grow Northern is the OEM - Original Equipment Manufacturer . OEM's manufacture a product which they can then apply a new name to the product for the resellers company , if they come to an agreement with the OEM.

This happens a lot with LED lights manufactured by a Chinese OEM's Which are then sold to different resellers and will sport different names. I'm fairly sure if you have looked around at the different LEDs on sale you will have seen lights that look exactly the same, although some OEM will customize them to the specs the reseller asks for.

Dutch passion are selling their HS1 in their Crazy LEDs & More store front and by putting the Crazy LED sticker on it differentiates it from a light bought direct from grow northern.

Should it need replacing or need to be sent back a crazy LED light will go to dutch Passion and not direct to Grow northern. Here Dutch Passion is the supplier/distributer, so when you buy a light from them it is their job to deal with any returns or queries, and will liase with Grow Northern on your behalf to rectifiy any warranty returns etc.

The lights have the same specs an HS1 from Grown Northern is the same as a HS1 from Dutch Passion except for the crazy leds sticker.

Here is an example of how the holographic difuser works, this is included in the documentation which I posted in this thread and was subsequently posted by Tang in a separate thread and it can also be read at Grow Northern's site as well as Dutch Passions site .

Holographic difuser Example

The 60°x60° diffusion optic is perfect if you wish to focus the LED light into a narrow intense light beam at a low height to finish blooming a mature plant.

A 40°x40° optic is ideal for commercial greenhouse growers who want to hang the light from a high ceiling but still retain high light intensity at plant canopy level.

An 80°x50° provides great coverage for rectangular shape grow rooms. Using two units each equipped with the 80°x50° optic will create superb canopy coverage flowering in a 1.2x1.2m indoor grow tent. Each light will illuminate half of the grow area, and if angled inwards slightly it will maximize light penetration.

There will be plenty more bits and pieces to come to about these new LED lights as the length of time of ownership increases, in the mean time visit both sites Grow Northern & Dutch Passion and read as much info as you can, I'm sure it should clarify any queries you have..

Most probably 80x80 will do the job, but I wonder about 60x60 for growing one plant per light as I do. 80x80 seems to spread some light around on walls. They say : The 60°x60° diffusion optic is perfect if you wish to focus the LED light into a narrow intense light beam at a low height to finish blooming a mature plant.

Your ladies look wonderfull, how do you estimate power of the light comparing to GN006 after 11 days?
