Yeah they say they will be announcing the launch date next week, that date could be as long as a ball of string for all i know. Jeremy was the rep i was talking to from GN they seem pretty certain on this one so here is hoping we dont have to wait to much longer.

i got email from gn they said the new light has virtually no cooling noise and rebel led with 75w power consumation and covers the same surface like the ms006 for 330pound vat retail and is smaller than the ms004

Hi Alex,


I'm sorry about this but we are about to discontinue the Rebel upgrades as they were only a limited edition and they take 60+ days to get manufactured. Because of price of the upgrades and the fact they have to be fitted in pairs we are advising customers to look at are new unit when we release in a week or two because that will use the Philips Rebel chips as standard.
The new UK manufactured Grownorthern unit is state of the art and uses some of the highest quality components available one of which are the Philips Rebel LEDs as we found the Rebels unmatched in are desired spectrum. The unit is very efficient and uses just 75w but the output and coverage are similar to are previous 180w light the MS0006 it's also smaller dimensionally than the MS0004. The unit will be quiet too as the technology we are using to cool the unit is virtually silent. We hope to release the unit within the next 2 weeks and the retail will be £330 in VAT. I should also mention the unit is 220-240v only.
