Lighting new GN Units

What about the price? Only 75w and the same price?

I e-mailed them yesterday, Jeremy got back to me and said the units would be 330 british pounds (VAT inclusive), 3W chips (Philips Rebel LED) and 220-240 V, 120V in the future for NA

When I take out the VAT of 20%, convert to Canadian dollars they come to 480 bucks.....plus shipping, little less for the Americans due to the stronger dollar

330 Pounds = $566 Us Dollars.

Notice I mentioned 330 pounds minus the VAT (we don't pay VAT in Canada, or anywhere outside the EC for that matter)

Got this directly from the site "our retail prices include 20% VAT which is only applicable in the EC"

Quite pricey, I'd be curious to see the actual draw on them once they come out and some light readings

Was it mentioned how long of a gap NA customers can expect to wait for the 120v/60hz compatable unit?

He just said in the future, no mention of time but the units will be early august for the 220-240 versions

Quite a bummer, I was really hoping they wouldn't cost that much plus be available at the same time

I don't think GN are recommending it but wouldn't there be some way of converting it to 120v? There must be some kind of gadget lol.

You can get a voltage converter, but the good ones cost a pretty penny plus I wouldn't plug something that expensive into it

I used one in Cuba a while back for my stereo and it fried, smelled like burnt plastic the whole week lol

would 110v work ?
