Lighting new GN Units

There is plan to release a US version but that will a month or two after the initial UK release from what I have been told...
When did you hear that, DubV? I heard it when I asked months ago, but upon inquiring again
several weeks ago now, they said they had no plans, and that they would first need to see what sort of demand there was in NA.

That being said, you best believe I sent a lengthy, polite, and descriptive e-mail back right after that, regarding how beneficial and helpful this tech would be
in NA with so many patients and caregivers that could use a much less complicated system than long ducts and gear and such like a HID system,
and most importantly get quality results with a trustworthy, quality product. Of course I mentioned AFN and the site's many NA users that are fans.

Hope it got through, fingers crossed!

And yes, even if you had a 220-240v outlet in North America, the light would still not use our 60hz frequency, compared to the UK's/Euro's 50hz frequency.

i love how excited everyone is!

Ok lets hypothetically say we have 2 identically size units but the chips in one are twice as bright and it has a 180 degree beam angle apposed to a 90 degree with the less powerful light, would the intensity be the same but the light with 180 degrees cover twice the space?

The light with the wider angle will be more intense and cover more area.

You can get converters that will switch the frequency too. Had a check on alibaba and they're not that much, as long as the output power isn't too high. Don't know about quality though. I'd probably advise not running these at anywhere near their rated power though!

All I can say is that once they are released there will be a load of used ms0006s for sale on eBay.

I also was informed months ago that the units were smaller and the power draw and cooling are going to be a real game changer in led technology so like many others I'm a bit frustrated at the delays in release but it will be worth the wait.

Still think the go faster stripes will make an appearance on them.

my old led broke late may.first thoughts where theses new lights may be ready late june.I bought a cheap led £70 vipar c180 to tie me over till these lights come out.july....not ready...august....still not ready...September ???
now im a little concered,GN is a 3 man show from what I been told (small business) yet they havnt sold a light in maybe 3 months.£0 turnover.I hope GN can survive,if not I hope the guys find other forms of income soon.or we all get a next generation led that knocks the socks off all others.

So these new panels will be enough for 3 plants in a 120x120 tent ? Looking at buying 2 of the bad boys

Im putting 2 in my 1.2m2 room bro and running my 2 plants every 40 days cycle,I'm really hoping after the first one or two runs I can pull 300g every 40 days from 150w.....that will defiantly put the cat amongst the pigeons.

Dont forget GN make big custom LED rigs for the bio manufacturing industry really impressive too from what I've seen, that's why they brought the Rebels to the grow light industry because they use them in that side of GN.

I think if the lower power chips are more focused on a smaller area they would be of similar intensity to the more powerful chips with less focused intensity. I hope that's the case or GN have backed the wrong horse!
