Command center were/what is that, I just got my lights and I don't see how I can dim the lights
I will try to share what I have found so far about DALI and how I expect it to work, but I am not sure everything is 100% correct.
DALI is not a GN product, it is intl.standard (IEC 62386), specified by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Of course, there are DALI products on the market, they make control possible from hardware point of view. DALI software is free to download.
As far as I understand the matter, light manufacturer has to be DALI member at first and must prepare lights in accordance with DALI standard, that means that digital driver supports DALI std. and there is data link from the light. That is what you have already got in your hands and is included in price.
To use DALI control, we will have to buy DALI bridge and our lights will need to be phisically connected to this bridge, so we will need one data cable per light as well. I do not know what bridge will GN offer, but it will look something like this one and will use cables to connect with each light.

After buying for example 4 lights, 4 cables and 1 bridge and connecting them together, it will of course not work so easily. Bridge has mini-USB port and that will be connected to smart phone, computer, or something similar. This piece of hardware will run DALI software, which each of us will download for free, install, and that will be command centre.
Controlling our lights will, after buying and installing everything of course, look like in this film.

Hope it helps, I have not seen DALi in action yet, but there is a lot to read about it on web and GN solution can not look very different as I write above.
