New Grower new grow Dr feelgood, part 2 or 3 time is a charm

yes, I was thinking that would be the case. Im in no hurry. My main focus is just keeping her happy and healthy. If this plant is as good as I have read about, its well worth waiting fot the "slow"growth

new update

latest pics, plants is growing, i think it grew about 2 inches in height and a couple of new flowering sites. Im still seeing some signs of distress. I have been ph ing my fluids to 6.5 photo (7).JPGdf022.jpgphoto (7).JPGdf023.jpgphoto (7).JPGdf024.jpg
as always, any input/advice is welcomed.

new update, kinda of worried

Hey guys, just checked out my plant today and I am getting a little worried. It kinda of looks shity. I have been ph all my fluids to between 6 and 6.5. i just fed today after to plain water waterings. It just seems every time I look at it iphoto (7).JPGdf025.jpgphoto (7).JPGdf026.jpgphoto (7).JPGdf027.jpgt has a new dead leaf ( or in this case several ) I do have a soil ph meter coming to check that. Im scratching my head at this point ( again )

I suggest no more feeding anything other than plain water. I have to ask about the pot. I am not familiar with that kind of pot but it looks like it is soaked in oil or petroleum of some sort. Any chance that is leeching into your soil? Don't give up, stick with it. See if the soil ph meter tells your some more of the story.

thanks mad S. I was thinking about doing that at least untill I get the meter to check soil. The ph water is the only thing I can control at this point. The pot is just a fabric pot that has been used a couple of times. I also think the reflection from the box makes it look a little funky

Hey,
Ya the pot had me worried for a minute but after a few grows, the crud is prolly not too bad considering.
I agree with the Mad Scientist. Looks like to many nutrients. Looks like, I do not know for sure, but they look like mine when I foliar fed with to strong a solution. One way to check soil pH is to water with a know pH water and check the run off, then do the math. There is a thread about here somewhere with the details.
What are you feeding her? What strength? How often? Lotsa questions sorry! I try to track everything so I have an idea (or like to think I do!!) of what may be going on.
Have a big ol :karma Cloud: hug to help things along!!

HI just reading through...DOnt get down bro..its a learning process.U CAN DO IT:pighug:.and its not hard just different..looks to me like you have like CH said cal/mag and to me looks like it need more feed too..some fishy stuff should get ya back green along with some cal/mag...when you see the vert growth stop or slow allot then hit with your bloom..most autos will flower after 3 weeks.:d5:

Thanks DA, Im not giving up the ship yet, just gets frustrating. I am learning little by little. I gave it some cal/mag last week, 2 plain waters, then some half strength nutes. maybe my nutes suck, its the ph perfect ( lower end line ) I believe I have some fish emulsion type ferts. I think today I will just give some plain water, maybe take a picc if I see something crazy!

I just tested my run off watering and it came back at 6.9, I just watered with plain water that I ph'd to 6.5. using the"rough scale", that means my soil ph is at 7.3. This would explain a lot if correct. ( I'm hoping that my acurate 8 shows up tomorrow or tuesday to a official measure ) This is a little supprising because my soil should have been adjusted ( RO greenlites/ natural gaurd 50/50 ) Could this have happened due to using improperly ph water ( I was using liquid test sol ). Another question would be what is the quickest way to adjust the soil, at this point the plant is about 60 days old. How much time do I have left to play? I know hydrated lime will work but it may be hard to get a hold of right now and that stuff scares me a little as in very easy to screw up in using it.
p.s. I checked my distilled water that I use to clean the meter with and it had a ph of 8, i was under the impression distilled water was neutral. Just saying.

That was a good discovery. I think but not sure you may want to adjust your water to a lower pH to make up for the high pH of the soil. Again please wait until someone verifies!
Distilled water is tough to read with a meter. I fold this brief bit on a science site.
pH electrodes will NOT give accurate pH values in distilled or deionized water. This is because distilled and deionized water do not have enough ions present for the electrode to function properly. The readings will drift and be essentially meaningless. pH buffers are the best solutions in which to test your pH electrodes. Tap water usually has enough ions present to allow a pH electrode to function properly. Because of this, tap water is a good short term (~24 hours) solution for storage.
