Hey folks, putting up my next grow. Dr Feelgood by short stuff. This pick is 7 days have after germination. I put it straight into a 2 gallon smart pot. Im using a new soil called organic mechanics. It is more of a coco based soil with organic components eg. worm castings. I aslo added a hefty amount of perlite. I gave it a thorough watering today. I thought it would have been a little bigger then what it is today but thats why im posting. Thanks in adavnce for any comments. photo (7).JPG df1.jpg

Me either, from what Ive read, this is supposed to be excellent "stuff" both in general and for medical uses.

Hey folks, Im getting worried. My seedling hasnt grown at all sine the leaves first emerged.7 days ago. Is this a sign of a bad seed or am I just being impatient? I didnt bother to take a pick because its the same size, maybe slightly bigger. during my previous grows you almost see growth changes daily.

update

this pic is from today 2weeks from germ. It was put directly into final 2 gallon pot. It really hasnt grown much since last week. It this a sign of a bad seed or do i need more patience. photodf2.jpg

What kind of soil did you use? Maybe the roots had a bad start. In the future you could just try out to make a hole about half the size of your fist in the middle of the full pot, and fill it with some seedling starters soil or coco, and germinate in there, that way you have better chances for a good start without problems

EDIT : Sorry didn't see that you already stated the soil in the start post.

Which kind did you get? The premium and container soil might be a little bit hot for the seedling.
Hmm compost and worm castings usually don't burn seedlings, but could happen if they use high quality, very long stored and heavily decomposed compost.

I got the premium, I didnt think it would be overly hot ( But I am a noob ) For all I know that soil could of been sitting a while, I bought from a very small garden shop that promotes "organic everything". Think i should just bag it and start over? I could remix that soil, say 50/50 with fertlome or sunshine 4.

I'd wait and observe. Yes the soil shouldn't be overly hot. If you don't see any new growth within the week, try again :High 5:.

Good luck to you! :tiphat:
