Hi folks,
Questions on new setup -Gorilla Grow tent 8'x4'x7' - may go to 8' high if room enough for extension.
Running 2 Optic 8+ 90 degree angle LED's
For exhausting air I was planning on putting in a Vortex S-800 711 CFM 8" Inline Fan with an 8" PROfilter Pro 100 Reversible Filter 900 CFM
For fresh air intake - I want to prevent bugs, dust (grow area is in basement) so I was planning to run a second inline fan and carbon filter
Question #1- should the fresh air intake be the same diameter as the size of the exhaust or can I go to a 6" active air intake?
I likely will just put the fresh air intake inline fan on a timer to coincide with when the lights are on to ensure fresh air to manage the heat.
Haven't decided about CO2 but I may well add that as time goes on so I'm planning for future expansion using CO2.
The place I was purchasing the kit from said he just leaves the bottom air vents open and I shouldn't worry. I'm wondering if i can go a smaller fan for fresh air intake, but if it is going to affect my vortex exhaust I will go with 8" intake.
Question [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] - I am planning to exhaust out through the basement bathroom fan exhaust to outside my house using a wye joint and a backdraft flapper to prevent back flow into bathroom. It looks like it is a 6" duct going outside but could be a 4" because its a bathroom fan exhaust. Should I be concerned about the line reduction from 8" to 6" or even 4" - Only about 8 feet from tent to outside vent, plumbing it in shouldn't be a problem unless it's 8" to 4" then I'll have to put in a couple of reducers 8 to 6 and 6 to 4
Any guidance would be appreciated
Thanks
