Hey mtam12,nice to meet you ! I will be using 5 gal. buckets next grow because I was told that what you get up top happens because of what you have below,the bigger the root the better the fruit.

When starting off beans try and use a neutral soil, sometimes MG can be a bit hot for some seedlings and actually stunt them.
Don't ask me how i know this but just let me say i will not use MG again...
Also for their size it would seem that you waited too long to start their nutes.
Once they have their third set of leaves is when i start feeding them.
3 gallon airpots for autos are a pretty good size.
If you can go bigger do not be afraid to! The bigger the root mass the more it helps to sustain the plant.
Another thing i always do is when i water i always alternate with nuted water and just plain PH'd water.
I usually don't look for drainage when i use nuted water but the next watering i will flush with plain water.
I find this gives them a break for a bit and they seem to recharge quite nicely!
Also a great rule for Auto's is never follow the directions on the bottle of nutes.
Use about a 1/4 strength and you will be good to go.
Don't ask me how i know this but just let me say i will not use MG again...

some encouraging news! I added a small amount of water and waited...went back and hour later and they have some spirit! So I added somemore water no nutes. Hopefully in the morning it will look better!
Prior to doing this I lifted the pot. very light. I put my finger in the hole in the bottom. very dry. So now I will check the bottom hole before I water to ensure its dry!! Thx again!!

Welcome mtam12, good save! I have been using 3gal bags but the guys are right about the 5gal growing bigger plants. Most of my plants have been between 20-30in with 15-35gr yeild. I just started this spring and have learned something from each grow. This site is the best for good info and the people here really want to help. Don't worry about the wife, once you start smoking your own the old pencil will stay full of lead and she will be on the team. Good luck.
