New Grower New grower new to forums

You could I guess, but you should really go over to the indoor forum maybe and start a thread just like you did here, with your setup info and whatnot. Keeping a journal in a sub forum that's related to your growing style will help attract the attention of people with knowledge in the department your looking for.

It's easy. Like iI said, just start a thread the way you did here, and keep us updated with pics, and things you've done with the plants. It's great to have something to reference if something goes wrong, and the amount of support and helpful hints along the way is overwhelming. You'll love it.

Read this and keep it in your bookmarks.

My best advise would be. Let the roots search for water. Dry/Wet Cycle. Saturate the soil with at least a 20%-25% run-off; then let the soil dry out. Example: One quart water IN, one cup water out (run off). Easy on nutrients at 1st; build up to what the plant will tolerate. I FEED-WATER-WATER.

Best of luck

It's not the amount of water, but the frequency of when you water. Cannabis roots like an airy soil, so keep it moist/dry between watering.

Hey yea new all about that with run off and wet/dry cycles....wats r these salts all about and then i hear people givein them a flush with just ph'ed water and was wonderin wat that is all about... and yea i feed wen i feel my pot r gettin light again normally 2 days or early on the 3rd day i feed but have been givein them couple ml of nutes as i said should i stop am i feedin them nutes to early ....

Sorry if its not makein sence i am really tryin to ask questions that i dont even really under stand the question.. i am new and read so many things just need a bit of reassurance cheers

Not a botanist and I don't know all the answers. The nutrients that we feed our girls are mineral salts. They get used at various times by the plant through their roots. Salts build up in the soil and need to be flushed out on occasion. By watering with a good 25% run off you are actually flushing the soil each time you water. Letting the roots search for water is the best thing you can do for your grow. The Wet/Dry cycle allows this to happen. Cannabis' roots can tolerate a small dry period, but will NOT tolerate a wet or overly moist soil for long. Keeping an airy soil and letting the roots look for water assures you that the roots will be happy.

What nutrients are you using? My cycle is FEED-WATER-WATER. I use Technaflora Recipe for Success. Full strength by the 4th week and a Wet/Dry cycle. Each nutrient company has their way of doing things. Keep it simple and take it slow.

You need to search out other grows that may interest you. AFNer's have 1,000's of grows under their belts. Some are pros and others are hacks. Check out the moderators grows or award winners grows. "Like" a few and follow them. That will assure you many growers will look your way.

AFN is the best growers site on the net. Check the BOM award site and look what other AFN grower's feel are the best Auto grows. Follow the nomination's grows and you'll learn a lot.

Peace,

I am feedin canna nutes a&b and rhizotonic at the minute... 3ml a&b and 9 ml rhizotonic in a 10L and that 10L nearly does all 3 plants... only feed till i see run off...

Start your grow thread on the Indoor Forum if you are growing Indoors. There are sub forums too. Using LED's, CFL's or HID's then go to that forum. Micro Growing has it's own forum. Pick out a forum that you need to showcase your grows and let the fun begin.
