Alright so I started a grow log in the new grower section I'm trying to grow organic and I guess I don't have a full grasp on all the tidbits. So if I may lay down some data points I have collected with what I have done so far and please correct and explain as you guys see fit

Alright I got to emerald triangle lemon haze going and 2 dinafem blue amnesia xxl going my current soil mix is as follows

1.5cuft of Dr earth's pot of gold soil
4 qt of vermiculite
8qt MG perlite
and 8 qt black gold soil the low nuurtiantes stuff

Alright started my seeds in solo cups with just the black gold (so I didn't burn my seedlings) as I was told my soil mix was kinda hot after a week and I removed the cups to allow the plants to grow into the Dr earth's mix things seemed to be going good until about the middle of week 2 and things seemed to be going very slow and in week 3 I noticed one of my lemon haze plants had started turning yellow (thinking this is a cal mag issue and will get some Epsom salts today to work on that

Now here is the kicker I planted 2 dinafem blue amnesia seeds because the first one I planted didn't come up for 8 days wouldn't you know they both came up 3 days later at the same time. Well I removed one of the little seedlings vary gently and placed it into a solo cup of black gold until I could get another pot

Now here is the best part after a week and a half 2 weeks in just the black gold I transplanted into a 2 gallon plastic pot with just dr earths not the mix and she's been doing alright I think but my 2 lemon haze and one blue amnesia are very small

As for nutes I was using roots organics buddha grow and trinity as I was told this would be a good get nute with everything needed to keep the plants healthy

Well with the super slow growth I got some fish emulsion and dr earths 333 liquid fertilizer seemed to help actually have only added them to 1 feeding thus far

I was told the smart pots would be the way to go but it seems that the soil mix as listed above and the smart pots are producing dodgy results but the 2 gallon plastic pot with that transplanted seedling into pure dr earths pot of gold is doing good

so I'm thinking either the smart pots are getting cold slowing growth or I didn't have enough nutes in the original mix

so I'm going to start another lemon haze plant in the black gold as begone as it seemed to work well but I'm thinking a hotter mix of soil might not hurt

1.5 cu / ft dr earths pot of gold
16qt perlite
Dr earth's life 5-5-5 added to directions
Dr earth's tomato vegetable and herb 5-7-2 also added to directions

I don't have a good source for ewc compost or any of that we have an ace hardware in town that carries some dr earths stuff and Lowes has MG crap lol

so here is my question would the new soil mix be way to hot for 1.5 to 2 week old seedlings and will adding the tomato vegetable and herb 5-7-2 in the beginning hurt?

I guess what I'm wondering is what kind of npk levels should one be looking at for a soil mix? I understand there is more than just npk. Such as cal mag and stuffs

just looking for some options here before I go spend more money only to have 23 day old plants again that are 3 inches tall

I'm getting tired though so I am going to stop while I'm ahead
