This is what I have. Just a 7" x 36" piece of stove pipe. I thought I was jamming with this. Haha, well other than all the lights are 2700K. They're all I can find here. I didn't want to pay for more or bigger CFLs because the I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a 5' x 5' x 7' tent and HPS. Every day I flop between a 400W or 600W light. Things add up fast.

Welcome aboard and nice DIY rig! :tiphat: For my first grow I made a CFL rig out of PVC and used a piece of stovepipe as the reflector like you did. Worked well enough for a beginner. :smoke:

Thanks for the great welcome from everyone. I picked up more info here in one afternoon than I have everywhere else in months. One more question...I added some pics to a new album and in the "Privacy" section the options were like anyone, including visitors can see them, or an option that lets only moderators and contacts see them, or "Private". Who are contacts? Is that registered members? Just wondering...

Hello 1olddiver!....looks nice....I just have a comment(thought)......I am currently using a tent that is 40"X40"X78"...a bit over 3ft wide and 3ft deep by little over 6ft and I am using a 400watt digital hps/mh with boost....and It is BARELY enough for mine.........If you can afford the bigger exhaust fan and filter I would say go with the 600hps....just remember that expelling the heat might cost more than the light itself......just my "My 2 cents" .....good luck and lotsa :karma Cloud: to your grow!:tiphat: btw...pic of my tent--------------> Go with the bigger light in the bigger tent if you can swing it ;-)
