New to autos

Yes, with work and luck (the usual), you should get ≥1 lb. in a 3x3 (9 sq. ft.) tent. Presuming 18" square or 2.25 sq. ft./plant as an experienced grower you should be able to get about 2 oz./sq. ft or ≥1/4 lb./plant in this size range (although I'm assuming using coco or other non-soil medium; presume somewhat less if using soil). Crowded in like this, don't expect or try to grow very tall plants.

Welcome :welcome:, you can get some nice yields from the autos, I runa pair of lights in 2x4 for a total draw of 240W from the wall using Migro Arays. Typical yields if the space is maxed out growing scrog will see 2 plants yield 850g+ for 3grams a watt or even slightly more.

Have a look at his thread when you get some time.

Hi mate. You'll get it dialed in once you start. LEDs do a great job. And sooner than you think you'll be starting with less plants in the spot with higher yields. I started with 4 Plants and 1-2 Oz per plant maximum years ago in an 80x80x160cm and now i am with max 3 in a 100x100x180 with 4-5oz a plant with not much hussle. Once you accomodate it's no great deal.
And all the info can be found here and nice people will lend a helping hand.
Welcome and Cheers!

Welcome to AFN :welcome:

Im running the same set up you bought, minus the new evo 4 light. I run the older s44 board style light, which to be fair is a little over powered for the space. Its meant for a 4x4. I did that on purpose so I wouldn't have to run my light at full power and control heat better. The new light has much more even ppfd spread so you will be just fine with that light.

With that said I do not grow many autos. Only 2 so far and both were free seeds from purchases. Both did extremely well in my opinion and I did kind of a no no and mixed them with photos. Buds weren't as dense as I would have liked but I was flowering 2-3 other photos in the same space. Both plants gave me around 2-4oz of dry weight, even with some slightly larfy buds because of the lack of light autos need. But the plant itself was just as big as my photos with a 40 day veg cycle. People can do some amazing things with autos on here and someone already posted a link to one of the auto wizards around here @420autoflower.

It sounds like you're not only new to autos but growing all together (if I am mistaken forgive me I only skimmed this whole post). In 5 gallon pots you can expect 4 autos FILL that tent no problem, as long as they dont get stunted at all. Autos usually are comparable to a photo with about a 1 month veg cycle in my experience. But thats with very little training to the plant at all. Ive heard that smaller pots produce smaller autos while larger generally produce a larger auto, obviously there's limitations and I really never see anyone using anything bigger than a 5gallon pot for a single auto plant. If you are new to the hobby I would start slow, it's a hobby that's got a lot of learning and can be easily discouraging if you plant a bunch of seeds and everything starts going down hill. You might look at your grow and say I wasted all this time and money to fail. Maybe start with 2 5 gallons and see how that plays out for you. Just food for thought.
