Grow Mediums New to dwc need help asap !!

Shedrit, i have not read threw all the post here, but the best advice i can give you for DWC is RUN BENEFICIAL!, they make an amazing difference, I would HIGHLY suggest Root Assist Tea from Skunk Labs horticulture (its cheap). Never once had to deal with root rot using it. I seen my water temps get up into the high 70's without any issue bright white roots. Beneficial bacteria also helps uptake nutrients more efficiency. ALso it helps with PH drift.

You can also make your own compost tea brew instead of buying a pre-made. FOr me i just buy the "ready to go" root assist tea bags.

If you have PH drift OR the onset of rot you can be spot on with your PPM's but locking out nutes, a beneficial tea will help with this issue.

Just my 2 cents, Stay green bro

Thanks , ok is that good to use with the 3 part Gh nutrients . I was using Humbolts roots and b1 .

I have like a few hundred new white roots coming out of the bottom of the net pot

Hey and can i ask what is this beneficial stuff u speak about lol , sorry im new to this and want to learn everything i can so i can pass the torch lol.

Or do i need to go make me some snacks and just do a lot if internet searching and reading to gt the understanding of what it is and how to use it .

FOr sure you can use it with GH 3 part, Think of beneficial bacteria as the people you WANT at the party. See in dwc when you get onset of Rot/Pethium , you have a bunch of people partying in your root zone that are undesirables. When you bomb them with beneficial bacteria like, bacillus, trichoderma, and Mycrorrihizae, (root assists tea contains all these bread into the billions per CFU's) They show up to the party and kick all the undesirables OUT!, Thus keeping your root zone healthy and plants LOVE it. It will prevent lockout of nutes, and help wth PH drift and stop/contain root rot. Which all are the bad things that can happen in DWC.

THere are other products out there that do the same thing as Root Assist Tea from skunk labs, its just the product i have used personally over and over again without failure and is CHEAP hence why i recommend it.

Also another key supplement to use in dwc is Silica, i recommend Dyna Gro's Pro tek. Any silica will work for that mater, out of the total 4 silica products i have used. I find dyna gro's pro tek to be the best bang for the buck.

I use beneficial tea at 1oz to the gallon and add it in twice a week, you really can't over do root assist tea.

Wow and thanks Lykaboss is it good to just use in general , even if u dnt have root rot.

Correct, if your in dwc, you want to run a beneficial bacteria tea!!! :Sharing One:

CAM01178.jpg will this help , it says that it will help plants achieve optimum microbal habitats at the rhizosphere or root zone environment .

Or is it nt good to mix diffrent nutrient companies together , cause thats fox farms Microbrew and im using the 3 part Gh nutrients
