Trapper
Rocky Mountain...High
As a general rule, the soils to stay away from (or, at least, require more caution) are the heavily pre-fertilized variety.
Fox Farms Ocean Forest would fall under that category.
If you are talking about light mixes, then you'll be fine.
Autoflowers are considered to be more "sensitive"...that's why we usually run 1/4 to 1/2 strength nutes as it
relates to the Nutrient vendor's feeding schedules.
Is it Pro-Mix or Pro-Mix BX that is considered to be "unfortified"? I can't remember.
As to Fox Farms...that's a "can-of-worms" type of question...there are many folks that will advocate for
non-synthetic nutes. And their points, by and large, are valid. About half the full line-up on the Fox schedule
are synthetics. I use almost the entire Fox Farms line-up (including Happy From soil) and I have had pretty
good results. I run 1/4 to 1/2 strength up until I put the spurs to them at the end, when it isn't going to matter
other than flushing/cleansing (we say cleansing for the end and flush for the middle now) them all out when
reaching harvest time.
So I guess to answer your question directly:
They will work fine but many will suggest better choices for a myriad of different, valid reasons.
