Live Stoner Chat New to the site and to the autoflower game!

As a general rule, the soils to stay away from (or, at least, require more caution) are the heavily pre-fertilized variety.

Fox Farms Ocean Forest would fall under that category.

If you are talking about light mixes, then you'll be fine.

Autoflowers are considered to be more "sensitive"...that's why we usually run 1/4 to 1/2 strength nutes as it
relates to the Nutrient vendor's feeding schedules.

Is it Pro-Mix or Pro-Mix BX that is considered to be "unfortified"? I can't remember.

As to Fox Farms...that's a "can-of-worms" type of question...there are many folks that will advocate for
non-synthetic nutes. And their points, by and large, are valid. About half the full line-up on the Fox schedule
are synthetics. I use almost the entire Fox Farms line-up (including Happy From soil) and I have had pretty
good results. I run 1/4 to 1/2 strength up until I put the spurs to them at the end, when it isn't going to matter
other than flushing/cleansing (we say cleansing for the end and flush for the middle now) them all out when
reaching harvest time.

So I guess to answer your question directly:

They will work fine but many will suggest better choices for a myriad of different, valid reasons.

I started out of fox farm nutes and i did OK other than cal+mag issues .. the thing about nutes is their kinda like pants some just fit better than others. Id try FF and see how ya do if you don't like it try Advanced Nutrients. I made the switch to the AN sensi line and ill never look back bro.. I also lost my ph pin.

Thanks for the shoutout, GB! It always feels good when someone tells me that they were able to find something informative in one of my journals! thanks soo much Elvis. i may just try them on my first go around seeing as i already have them. i also add a local organic triple mix to my soil as well as a top dressing but may stay away from that for this grow. i also mixed it in a tea which i may continue to do with fish juice and molasses.

That's still the colloquial assumption though ;) My wife (I'm a dude) says she used to "play for the same team"...wish she'd prove it.

CaMg is a must, especially under LED. Molasses is the hammer in the tool box....everyone has one in it.

A lot of folks like Silica (Like GH Armor Si) too. Inceases tolerance to temperature variation (up and down) and
strengthens stalks and branches.
