New Visual Style for the Forum!

Not my fault buddy.
There is nothing big to complain about any more as you have done such a stellar job, so now it's gonna be minor things only :p

That sounds good to me! Appreciate all the feedback (and thanks for that link to the palette colors, that's actually what I used for v3!)

@Son of Hobbes My retinas are scorching again! :nono:

Hey brother, v3 is probably going to be the last revision on this style other than fixing up some smaller, minor things that have been suggested. I will work on a second style that is more toned per some of the requests, but that's going to be a project for another week. The majority of the feedback on this last one has been extremely positive so we're going to call it for now; but when I start on the next style (the toned down one) definitely give some input!

Gotta say, I am (about 95%) loving this V3.
Looks crisp, clean and modern.

As far as I can see, the only things that still need sorted out are:
  • Up/down buttons can't be seen.
  • The 'buttons' in the text box for replying (bold/italics/underline etc) may need a 1px dark grey border in order to make them stand out a bit more
  • The avatars need to be positioned 'center' rather than their current position as they are not aligned correctly with the circular border - probably just a lack of position, so they default to ' top left '
  • the 20 pixel margins around the main content leave too large a white frame around the forums (looks more noticeable on smaller devices like tablets/phones where it uses a higher percentage of screen real estate)
  • The 'search' bar goes into a weird position on tablet-sized screens and is stuck behind the lower menu (just make your browser window smaller to see what I mean)- it could also do with a border and either a search icon or the 'search' text darkened to make it more noticeable.
These are all purely cosmetic changes and could all be done in 5 minutes.

Apart from this, I am gonna send some :pighug::pighug:to @Son of Hobbes for a stellar job
