Next Level Tea - DIY Vortex brewer

I've recently redone my compost tea vortex brewer. Thought you might want to check it out.

It's pretty simple. I had a plant stand that held the 5 gal water jug just right. I't basically 1.5 inch pvc down the bottom and back up to the top. Airlift style with 88lpm air pump. It does a great job,

I usually run it for two days, use half and top off with more water and food then let it go for another day or two and do the same thing. After about three exchanges I drain it completely and clean it.

The pvc is just pushed together and leaks a little till you put in the compost and then they seal themselves. The big bucket is to catch those drips.

I usually add, molasses, compost, algea, fish, EWC, sometime guano and plant meals.

Here's the other reason for the big bucket...to catch all the foam.

Hey torched that is a great Idea, as I listen to my alfalfa tea burbing in it's container.


Coule be a good alternative?

I had to move it out to the shed as the new pump is too loud for in the house. It cranks the tea pretty good.

For those who might be going this route.
-I have no drain valves. I found that any space that was not flowing, backed up pretty bad with sediment. I drain it with a siphon hose.
-I went with this design because I did not need a tea bag all ingredients go right in the water.
-Not including the pump it was about 30-35$
