Nika's DWC Hobbit and Hawaiian snow grow

I know it says DWC but it is not!! I made a mistake
Hi everyone this is the start of my first grow log!!!!

I will be doing 1x Hobbit "Kannabia" in a stealth cabinet 2ftx2ftx4ft
with 3 gallon air pot bag thing, Scrog
3x90w ufo lights


I will be doing 1x Hawaiian snow "GHS" PHOTO In a grow tent 2.5ftx2.5ftx2.5ft
With 5 gallon Organic soil..... was going to go with DWC but change in plans!
400w hps

Nutes will be the same for both plants. I am using Neptunes harvest fish fertilizer and bunny berries for nitrogen.

I am growing the Hobbit in my apartment and the Hawaiian snow for a friend at her house.

I started the Hawaiian snow seed today and will start the Hobbit in a few days.
I will be making tiny clones of both plants and spraying them with CS to make a single bud on both plants seeded.


I have been growing in coco for a few years and learned alot.
Now that it is hard for me to get coco I am doing Soil.
I will try to give photo updates weekly of both grows!!!

I thought it would be fun to compare growing in organic soil vs. DWC. "We will do this next time"
I started the Hawaiian snow seed in a rockwool cube today...PH 5.9
Not sure If I will scrog the HS yet but I have a while to think about it.
My gf's apartment is very cold at times 45F but the 400w hps puts off enough heat
to bring temps up to 90F!!!!!! this will be our problem. AC units are out of the picture
because they are a dead giveaway here as we don't use them.:Stones slap:

:smokebuds: I know what you mean, I live in the UK & theyre so out of place in 'normal' homes here.Im a newbe, but Im half way through my first grow,anyway i had same issue. I use a 600w dual spec hps in a 2x2.5 meter space,which is around 9 ft tall. But i have found i can keep my temps down by using a large fan blowing upwards towards the light under the reflector {please see pic} but be careful you dont blow it about you just want to direct the heat back up instead of blasting down on the plants

Correct me if im wrong... but arnt you ment to have another fan blowing the hot air out of roof and another to circulate the air around (sorry if i have worded it wrong)

Are you going to use same nutrients for soil and DWC?

I was going to use my Humboldt trio for the DWC only, but once again the bad news is I wont be running DWC this grow. I will be using the DWC bucket for my next Hobbit grow as the main reason I am growing this first 2 plants is to make more seeds. Sorry for the letdown guys. Now I will be running both in organic soil. I don't want to take that big of a risk just yet let me get more seeds then Ill be back with the dwc.:stylez rasta smoke:

Hey guys I got a quick question.... Is it okay to put a hydroponic ph'd rockwool cube in a pot of soil? Or should I rinse it with 7.0 water first?
