New Grower nitrogen toxicity same time as magnesium deficiency

Perfect. Moose re-read my previous post as I add edited some info into it while you were posting.

ive never foliar feeded so i will just add it the usual way through watering the soil instead of messin somethin else up lol. i will get that in the morning. you said half a teaspoon per gallon, but its a sort of micro grow, tiny pots, 1 litre of water will give about 30-40% runoff. how can i measure the correct amount? i think i need an 8th of a teaspoonfull which will be really hard to figure out exactly lol. thanks.

Mix 1/4 tsp in 100ml of water, pour out half (50ml). Add the remaining 50ml to your 950ml of water to make a liter.

how do i measure out 1.35ml of epsom salts? its a powder right? google says ml & mg are exactly the same but how can i measure out 1.35gram of salts without using scales? i got kitchen scales but theyre proper fuckin shit so wont even bother with em lol. thanks.

also how good is the way 1z2000 said? shall i do that instead? "Mix 1/4 tsp in 100ml of water, pour out half (50ml). Add the remaining 50ml to your 950ml of water to make a liter."

Hey I have a correction to make. The 1/2 tsp of EP was for if you were going to use it for both foliar and watering. You should double for watering only 1 tsp per gallon.

Sorry for the confusion!

5ml in a tsp. 1.25 is 1/4 tsp. So, a tenth more is just a touch on the "rounded" side of quarter teaspooon (as we'd say in cooking).

Tsp and ml are volumes, not weight. It doesn't matter if it's dry or liquid. When working with powder it's more accurate to weigh it rather than measure volume. But, that's more important for something like a strong "bloom booster." Epson salt, you don't need much precision. Some people use 1 tablepoon/gal (3 tsp/gal).

It's just a way to cut a strength in half when you can't measure down to that level. It's not good or bad. It's just math. 1/4 tsp in 50ml reduced to 25ml is 1/8 tsp.

I do this for my germination/soak water which uses 1-half drop of SuperThrive in a gallon. I have no idea how to measure a half drop (which is 0.05 ml). So, I do 1 drop in 20ml, pour out 10ml and add the remaining 10ml to my gallon. Voila! Half drop.

Of course: the simpler answer for both of us is that 1/2 drop or a smidge over 1/8 tsp probably makes no difference. But, that wouldn't be any fun. :)

Thanks for your great info az. That is what I love about this site... we are all here to help and learn from each other.

Never heard of using quite that much EP for flowering (not saying you are wrong in any way), but most of my EP is mixed right into my soil with all of my other amendments. (TLO supersoil).

Peace!

so if i did 1/4 tsp of salts in 50ml water, removed 25ml then add the 25ml left to my 1 litre of feeding water that wil be about right? thanks

ok ive got the epsom salts after a slightly awkward moment when the girl was ringing up the salts i saw on the label its for constipation relief LOL. anyway i will feed 1/8th teaspoon in 1litre ph'd water. im thinking of adding the epsom salts every other feed with all my plants current & future as every grow ive had magnesium deficiency. i feed my plants with plant magic oldtimers grow & bloom, biosilicon & plant magic magnecal+yet im always finding magnesium deficiencys. cannabis really seems to gorge on magnesium like a fat kid eatin cake
