I tried with and without a tent, both have pros and cons. I would say a tent is easier to control the environment. If you want to have the same level of control of the environment without a tent, it usually costs more to make it work. but it's only my experience

Mine was the opposite I found it easier to control the environment in the open space

I also love my "open" room.

Roughly 4' x 4' x 4' high inside a 10' x 10' x 8' high room. Need more room add more panels...

600w MH/HPS in a 42" parabolic reflector. No issues with heat or humidity !

Panels are plywood ribs with 1/8" hollow core plastic and then lined with tin foil :nono:

Shown with a grow of Auto's !

EDIT>

Of course in hindsight it would have been easier to purchase two 4 x 8 sheets of 3/4" foam insulation for $35 !

Cheers

I am thinking of going tentless. I am a legal grow and am the only one living here. The room I am in is roughly 160 sf. I run with the tent is open most the time anyway.I know I would lose some reflective properties but it would be a hell of a lot easier. I could make some short tables for trays. If anybody has suggestions that would be great.
What if I told you I went down to my local area where they were handing out federal supplies after the pandemic and they had a bunch of those reflective blankets that look like tin foil I forget the fabric that they're made out of you're supposed to use them in survival to keep yourself warm I took 10 of those and a roll of Gorilla tape and got her done brother
