I'm planning out a Think Different grow next round, a legendary auto flower strain with masses of journals here on AFN filled with valuable info to help optimize the next grow.

Thanks man! I have quite a collection of scopes nowadays. This particular one attaches to my fone and does a great job I think. It was $8 on ebay or amazon:
This one is good because it attaches right up to your phone and is more steady for me than putting my camera up against a loupe.
Make sure you get something with 60x magnification though. 40x is ok, but 60x really lets you see the detail. I sat through an entire chick flick last night just staring at trichs while the woman was off in romantiland 2 feet away.

lol trapper... it was some generic crapola on lifetime, the sole male character was an evil ex-husband stalking his wifes sister or some nonsense. It's all ok though, makes me look pretty good as a boyfriend in comparison.


Day 84 - End of week 12
She's 1.5 weeks into her 'cleanse' with just plain 6.5ph water. She's taking on a lot of calcium deficiency from lack of nutes but hoping to chop this weekend or early next week.

I'm pretty sure I locked out calcium around week 9 or 10 by using too much Beastie Bloomz (0-50-30 @ .25tsp per gallon), the high K can cause this according to reputable sources. I did max out her feedings & will look to run 1/2-3/4 strength next time I think.

No matter as the buds appear unaffected and pack on a few new bits and pieces along the way.

I'm waiting on trichs to finish up before I chop. There's a lot more milky trichs this week, does anyone have a rough estimate of how long they will take to turn amber? Days or weeks?

I cut off one branch and am trying to quick dry it in a box. It'll need a few more days but it seems to be drying ok so far.

Damn Man!!! That's some frosty bud you got there!!!!!! As for your question, about how much, percentage-wise, of them are milky and how many amber ones have you seen? I know for my plant, I was almost 100% milky but had a about 5-10% amber, so I chopped mostly because I wanted more of a head-high than a couch-lock, mostly because I need to have a little more "awake"-ness during the day since I'm an active dude.. Judging by your trich development though (where they look like meatballs on a stick, or an obscure penis), you may still have another week or 2 if you want a fair amount of Amber, but I'd say if you truly wanted to, and you flush like other soil folks, maybe a week?? I'm not familiar with this strain, nor am I even remotely close to being an expert, but I still see a fair amount of sorta-clear trichs.. In any case, even in the week or so you may want to take it, that plant is gonna gain a bit more chub!!


Then again, if what they say is true, autos don't amber up quite like photo plants do, so I'd say you have at least a few more days judging by the greenness of your leaves.. How rapid are they starting to yellow??

I'm willing to bet you could probably snag a few of the upper buds/bud pieces if you're running outta meds. I kinda wish I had done that, since I had this baseball-sized bud at the bottom that was almost 50% clear trichs.. I couldn't get to it with the loupe, so I just said, "Fuck it, gonna taste good in some brownies..."
