Indoor Nomis' Berry Ryder Rotisserie Grow Journal

:slap: great plant and haul brotha!!!

i just got my berry ryder in yesterday, your plant has me all excited!!! lol again great job:howdy:

Nomis ... you've got enough to put some away ... have you considered Oxy-Sorb Oxygen Absorber for long term storage .... I use a large 62% Boveda in each of my 1/2 gal jars and the weed stays good a little over a year before it loses some smell/flavor .... I'm wondering if using these things would help it stay good for longer ...

Chester, I was gonna save this for a later post, but if by some odd chance I end up having to long term store I'm gonna throw in a boveda pack and then vacuum seal the jar using this thing:

That fits over the jar, you're supposed to stick an air tube into that hole that attaches to an expensive electric sealing machine, but I can simply use a common $10 wine bottle sealer in it's place:

It's by no means hot water canning, it meerly removes air to keep your stuff fresher that much longer.

I use this method for storing coffee/biscuits/rice etc. I read a post about it on here I think a year or two ago and went a bit crazy and have been busy canning all my dry goods ever since. Helps keep the ants away in the summer too.

I considered hot water canning but didn't like the idea of heat or water near my bud  ... that gadget you have probably does as good a job ... :Sharing One:

Alright guys, gonna close up the thread and get ready to start a new grow.
I ended up with 6 ounces of sativa-like bud from a 5 gallon airpot container. The Airpot appears to be superior to a standard container, but does require more water. It would also appear that the Berry Ryder is better suited to the 5 gallon container over the 3 gallon container used previously. My 'rotisserie' turntable doesn't seem to have improved the grow, however I wasn't very scientific with it. It did make watering and maintenance much easier as I can turn the plant manually in the closet with ease instead of pulling it out and potentially snapping a branch. Perhaps a decent tool for anyone with pain or mobility issues. I'll use it again in the next grow vs a stationary plant and see if I can note any real differences.

Other conclusions:
- Check soil PH before starting. I had a load of PH issues early on from using an old bag of FF . Could have been avoided with a bit of lime mixed in with the soil.
- Winter Humidity. I was required to run a humidifier to keep Rh in line. This accounted for 40% of my electricity, which I find excessive. However, electricity is cheaper in the winter, so maybe it works out.
- Water - Buying bottled water for one plant is a pain, much less for multiple plants. Disposing of the bottles is an even bigger pain. I'll be looking into a reverse osmosis gizmo and prolly also capture rain water for future grows.
- Easy Grow - The Berry Ryder was easy to grow for a lazy newb like me & I recommend it for any beginner.

Thanks once again to the AFN community, without your help I'd be growing out lanky males all year long and wondering what went wrong.

Nice write up. I'm using the same companies light only I'm using the mars ll, I'm happy so far

I own this light along with the Top Led MarsII 400 and their old model 300w, haven't used the MarsII yet but both my 300s work amazingly the few months I've had em, I would def reccomend these lights to anyone wanting good buds without the heat of hps/mh. I had boxed up my 2 1000w systems and went cfl d/t heat issues and still had heat issues, until I come across a thread on anther forum, found these lights and so thankful I did, my tents don't hit temps above 82ish as of yet since owning the lights.
