Indoor Nomis' Berry Ryder Rotisserie Grow Journal

The difference of a day:smokeit::

Day 7 and 8 pics here. Thought this was cool as you can see how much she's grown in less than 24 hours based on landscape perlite landmarks. The second set of leaves are well defined now and there is more action now from the stem, total height is 1.5" lol.

She seems to be on track so far based on the leaf development of last grow, though I think Chester is right about the LED keeping her low.

Day 13 Update:

She's spitting out new growth and doing her thing pushing out some fatty leaves :D Poured a half gallon into her on day 10 and another half gallon today after finding some slight burn on the first finger leaf. I blame my hot FF soil and lack of starting in neutral medium. Today's runoff Ph is 6.1 so should have it under control by next watering. Also it's been humid here lately so no need to run the mister and thus keeping my power down to a mere 190 watts between the LED and display turner thing (3.5w). Plant area temps are stable @ 25/78 cel/fah, the LED exhaust is 29/85 cf, reaching as high as 32/90 if I completely seal the closet for a while. LED is 24" from top of the plant.

I wish I knew the cause of the spot but I don't ... could be PH ... I start mine in the mildest soil I can find and use RO water w/ calmag ...
"Sharing One"

Yeah, I was in a rush to get this started and sowed directly in some stale FF soil. It's contained to that one small leaf so think she'll pull through ok.

Day 16 Update:
She's growing around 1/2" a day for the last 3 days, total height is 4". The leaf problem has crawled up to the second tier now, but think I have it under control now finally. Soil Ph was down in the mid 4's.... from a variety of reasons but still not something I should have taken so long to figure out. Soil Ph today is 6.3 in the upper half and 5.5 in the lower half after a 1.5 gallon wash today. I watered heavily a few days ago too, so want to let her dry a bit before taking another shot at getting the PH back to normal. Runoff TDS is 450 ppm after the waterings, which seems to be in line with my last indoor grow.

Still turning away clockwise @ 1.4 rpm too. I can't say if this is doing anything though the main stalk is growing at a slight angle.

i love it. next time i grow im ordering a turn table. maybe two!

Lookin' good Nomis ... Too soon for the turntable to make much of a difference ... another week or two they'll explode and the turntable will really help ...

Day 20 Total Failure

Well I've mucked up this plant beyond belief at this point. The results of my destruction are below. Yesterday with pH still unstable I put in .75 gallon of 8.5 distilled water which came out at 4.8. That would put soil PH at what, 1.1??? I upped the pH of the next half gallon to 10 which seems pretty crazy, and watered till she started spitting out 6.5 runoff @ 250 PPM. The next gallon I added in 1/4 teaspoon each of FF Grow Big, Big Bloom and Cal/Mag and 1/3 teaspoon of molassis and pH'ed back to 10. Runoff was 6.4.

There is new growth still, but I can't get over this. I've run so much water through her in the last few days I'm really hoping that 6.4 will allow her to suck up some nutes and get healthy and get some new primary leaves. I started some LST to at least get some more light onto the undergrowth and more healthy looking leaves.

Here are some rather ugly pics over the last few days:
