Running h202 in the system or another product that kills all bacteria in the reservoir both harmful and beneficial.
If you keep water temps between 18-20oc 64-68f it should help bacterias and fung

Edit it should really limit the growth of bacteria and fungi at that temp.

Over the hump and back to some form of normality. Roots that were stained by the addition of Floralicious Plus have now "whiten" up. The new growth on [HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG] (The Baby) are coming back too. The addition of Hydroguard at 3ml per gallon has made a big difference. There is a slight brownish tint to the reservoir water, but I hope it's just the "dye" coming off the roots and net pots. Have a bucket of water that is aerating for over 24 hours ready for a new res. change or just to top off.
Girls are happy. Their are perking up and no sign on the top foliage of any problem. Slight tip burn, but that's about it.

The Hydroguard is designed to eat the dead or decaying matter and convert it to food for the roots. Colonizes the system with a better bacteria that is The Heavy Hitter of microbes.

Man! I have thought that this DWC was going to be easy. Stumble and mumble in my case. Mistakes are lessons learned.

[HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG]. Lots of air bubbles.
[HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG]. No light leaks (keep net pot holes snug around the net pot)
[HASHTAG]#4[/HASHTAG]. NO additional "Crap" added to the nutrient water. NO root booster or anything Organic.
[HASHTAG]#5[/HASHTAG]. Keep the reservoir nutrient water CLEAR. Although Pro-Tekt makes it cloudy. It's still "clear".
[HASHTAG]#6[/HASHTAG]. Lastly. Ganja growing is suppose to be fun.

These are my DWC Noobie lessons.

Feel like my new grandson. He just started to roll over and stopped looking at the celling. Life is better now when we can look around and see what's good.

Another BIG mistake was using the West Coast Horticulture web site's A&B Grow for recirculating systems and not the label on the back of the containers when preparing the nutrient solution.
Web Site: 20ml per Gallon
Product Label: 15ml per Gallon

Zeroing it down a bit and it's seems the Girls are happier.

Stupid mistake that I really didn't look at the label on the product and went with the web site's recommendation. Big boo boo.

Just wanted to give you my 2 cents. Ever since I ditched soil and started running DWC I have done things a little different than what other say works. OK I do it a lot different. I give ZERO fU@KS about bucket temps. Early in my grows before the canopy covers the bucket my bucket temps get into the low 80's....YES 80's. I have always used Hydroguard and have never worried about slime. My girls have never complained about hot feet either. Also regarding solution level in the bucket/rez, I always see people running water levels an inch or so BELOW the bottom of the net pot. I run my bucket almost to the top of the bucket. I think I am about 2 or 3 inches from the rim of the bucket. In a 5 gallon bucket I have nearly a full 4 gallons of water. More solution makes for a more stable solution in my book.

I am far from da' DWC King but thank you just the same! It seems that many growers over think DWC and make it harder than it needs to be. I have found DWC to be so much easier than soil. I will never go back to soil...never.

Scraping this Amnesia Haze Auto Grow.

The root mass is beyond repair. I removed the Girls gently from the net pots to inspect the roots. Massive brown shitty roots. When cleaned off there was really nothing left. They are scrapped

Lessons learned. Restart and look to getting a better start.

Sorry guys. That's the story for the day.

Have the beans to redo. No need to try to save an Autoflower when they won't mature correctly and Hermies in the horizon.

well that suck BayLee sorry to hear that....but no worries brother.....onward and upward right! Will you please start a thread in the photoperiod section? I have my current grow going there as well. It is a DNA Kushberry. She is coming to the end of her grow and is on day 91. I plan to start her flush in the new couple of days. I worry that you will run out of space in your cabinet with a photoperiod plant even with topping,LST, etc. I only vegged mine for 30 days and had to evict her from my cabinet and moved into a tent.....FWIW she is now over 5 feet tall not including the bucket.
