Grow Room Open Source Grow Cube

Thanks KsjAuto, I'm just being lazy. Do you know of a good source for hydro parts? Amazon is a bit of a craps shoot. The float valve I bought has a compression fitting for a 1/4"-3/8" OD. I need a compatible bulkhead fitting for the 2dn res. and some tubing. When you say "snap the stems without bending" what do you mean exactly?

Snapping the stem;

Use your thumb and indexfinger. Put pressure on the branch until it snaps, you will here something inside the branch break.
You might read up on that.. don`t have any links sorry
Can`t find another way to xplain it.. english not my native lang....

IM not familiar with english plumbing terms..
I buy allot of stuff on aliexpress,, cheapest site i know for the stuff i need..

A shop like bauhaus have all the things you need..

But what you need is something like this right !!

I´ll post a link with supercropping later if i can find any..

Thank you Ksj. I have a float valve that looks exsactly like the one in your picture. Do you know what diameter tubeing it uses? I appreciate you posting the pic!

As long you find a fitting/coupling for the float valve. was it 3/8"
3/8 female to hose "barb"
it`s not that important about the size on the hose. as long it´s black (light proof).

Pu Pneumatic Hose 4mm x 6mm for pneumatics 25meter Black color

cost 12,5$ on alixpress free postal

That hose work with "one push" fittings also

Just pm me if u need any help setting it up :smoke:
:Cool bud:

I foud this picture for you.
Remember to fit the float valve so you can adjust the water level up and down.

Hi Ksj, I have some 50' of 1/4" black tubing and 1/2" black tubing coming. I ordered a bulkhead fitting and 1/4" adapter. I forgot the other two bulkhead fittings I need for the control pail. I may just have to run strait into the primary res. from the secondary res. without moving the float into a control pail. The diagram is great thanks for taking the time.

Here's the latest pics.

Glad i could help[emoji2]

That "controller with the float valve" is the only way to make a steady water level in your res
(bucket with your plants).
If you don't have a top up res, to feed your controller, your waterlevel wil go down.

It's the only way to do it,, with a float valve!!!!!!!!

Well it all depends when your roots, will fuck with your float valve,
The float valve will be closed ore open
Open == flodded main res,, hope you don't have any eletrical things near your grow,, a second res with 10l of water pouring out and nobody home====fire hasard,
Closed: no feed to your plants,, !!!!!!

Just my 2 cents,,
Other way to feed your "main res" could be this:
1.Bucket
1.aquarium hose with a valve to control the air pressure from aquarium airpump(you don't need the airpump).

Put the bucket above your water level.
Put the hose with the atached valve in the bucket.

Do like if you would steel gaz from a car... Suck on that hose end until you see gaz comming thru it, in this case water,

Adjust the valve so it will give water slowly.
Put the hose (valve end) in your main res,

You now have a steady feed to your main res,
Adjust the valve so you would feed the main res acording to your plants water uptake.

You basically siphon water from a bucket to your res,
The valve is to adjust the amount of water,

This is the macgyver solution[emoji317]
The other way is better!!!!!!!
Ones again im stoned,
Hope it made sense
