What options do I have to replace the bad lights? I think there's three sections I marked that are not lighting up.

I bought another large Bestva light, but it's not as bright as my chilled growcraft light. Not sure if that means anything.
Both installed next to each other.

This is why I built my own lights out of screw in LED bulbs. Four years in, not one failure, and if one ever occurs, a cheap LED bulb is likely all that will be required to fix it. Minor differences in efficiency matter very little to most growers, including me. Good luck getting things back on track. :goodluck:

I still use my decades old original diy cob light heatsink bar lights. But I think the tech improved with new lights.

I would have a look in each section that's not working. See if you can spot a single diode that looks burnt out. If they wired it in series if one diode goes bad then the rest won't function. Think of Christmas lights. However, replacing these diodes simply with a soldering iron might be a bit tricky as I think these are bottom terminated only. Easy job if you are set up for it, but not so much for the average joe without the proper equipment. If you don't spot a burnt out diode it might simply be a cold solder joint on one of the wires on the pcb. This can definitely be fixed by the average joe with a decent soldering iron. There won't be many wires on the pcb (if any), just give the ones connecting that section a lil wiggle.

I don't have any experience with chilled but I was of the impression they were one of the better manufactures, up there with HLG. 2 bars with bad sections, clearly I was mistaken and they have some major manufacturing/smt issues.

If your old lights grow enough weed for you, stick with them, IMO. The actual advantages of the newer tech seem overestimated to me. There is a hell of a lot of marketing in all aspects of growing this stuff, including the lights.

OTOH, when the old ones finally don't do the job any more, there are lots of up to date options that have better light distribution and spectrum out there. In the meantime, enjoy that flower. :pighug:
