I see a lot of talk about PPMs here , I just wanted to everyone who doesn’t know to remember , if your using organic or vegan fert like me , your PPMs can be higher because there is less readily available dert( chem fert is 100% water Soluable , organic is not) I know TDS is total dissolved solids but from years of experience, I’ve never seen high vegan PPMs that match the same chem PPMs that have the capacity to burn. Now that’s vegan. Many store bought organic fertilizer of high quality is very solvable and you have to be more carefully .
So if your a new grower and someone tells you to run 400 ppm, make sure you know if they are taking vegan, organic ( store bought or home mixed) or petrochemical fert. Also. With hydro you can run even higher numbers . Not all PPMs are the sale .
