Lighting Orrganics DIY build help wanted!

Ohhh man... I've hit a few bumps on the road.. My cobs didn't rock up but i did get a refund. Fairly disappointed, i was exited about x5 1212's!
Im looking at some more, probably ordered domestically this time though.
Lumileds L2C5-35801205E1300, LUXEON COB Gen3 White CoB LED, 3500K 80CRI
Is anyone familiar with this brand? they look to be the newest gen @ 1.41 efficacy. for $20 odd each seems alright.

Another thing i had second thoughts about was my driver reading277VAC for North American use only, refer to first post for pic.
Any help appreciated! Cheers guys.
What happened with the cobs?

I contacted the seller to enquire about there whereabouts, they could only confirm they were in transit and instructed me to contact them if they did not arrive after the next week. Come the Monday morning after a week i flicked them another email letting them know. Their reply went along the lines of sorry for wasting your time heres a refund. So i waited a month, lost $2 on currency flux and have no cobs haha.

Cobkits? Shit! He works full time and does this on the side. He was sick for awhile then got feet upon feet of snow. I waited weeks for mine to arrive but luckily he threw in a few extra cobs. I rarely buy from him now unless it's a rare temp cob but his prices are spot on.

If anyone wants to dump hundred grand to buy stock in cobs and is willing to profit 3 bucks a piece this could keep you busy. I'd be your number one as far as sales goes lol.

No they weren't from cob kits, an eBay seller from estonia. Their store name should be in one of the previous photos. I wasnt suss on the seller because i had seen them posted somewhere around AFN diy threads as an example of good citi prices before.

I know time is precious but would you mind doing me a favour by having a quick peak at this link?

I know the basics, but when looking at a spec sheet i get a bit lost.. i can't even find the max watts for these, or remember the formula to find it.
No rush and all help is greatly appreiciated!!

Watts law states that P=V x I where P = Watts, V = voltage, and I is Amps. So, unless I fumbled the math, in the example above it looks like they would end up being 42 watts. I'm no cob expert, but I know you don't want to drive them to the max.

Exactly! I'm not going to pretend I'm proficient in knowledge when my safety is at steak! Thanks you for your help MateraGaia! That does sound about right, looks i'll need seven of those model to draw 200 from my driver, works out to a bit over $150

@AussieBogan welcome aboard the diy train! I thought I'd reply here to keep your thread tidy. I actually placed an order yesterday, same as the previous mentioned. Some wago connectors arrived today and next up is heatsinks. I'm planning to buy some standard active cooled either one per cob or what ever I config on my aluminium sheet. So were making progress, slowly but surely

Sounds like you're on track! Looking forward to seeing this project put together ... I'm a lazy cunt and thought about just getting a mau5 kit, haven't decided yet, bit pricey but in the long run it won't be as expensive to run compared to hid!

I loved the idea of the mau5 kit when I first found it but the price was just to high, for my current circumstances.
