Hi again guys, If you don't already know, I joined yesterday and am new to the auto-scene... I have a little experience with photo's but new to Auto's...

Anyway... Here's a bit more about my first ever Auto grow...

It's an Outdoor Uk grow (London 51.6n) with use of a heated greenhouse for nightime and when weather is dismal in the day, but plants mainly outdoors when the weathers half decent.

Seeds:

Dutch Passion's - Think Different, Star-ryder and Autoxtreme.

Age: 26-28 days. 26days since germ, 28 days since heads popped.

(I know I know, I should have planted a month or 2 earlier than I have!) :-(

Growing media:

20Ltr pots/containers for the Think Different and the Auto-xtreme.
10Ltr pot/container for the Star-ryder

All pots contain 30% 'soil-based' compost (John Innes no2), 40% cactus compost, 20% perlite, 10% Vermiculite.

Lighting:

The sun. :-) All-be-it the UK sun :-(

Here are the pics of my ladies...

Next 2 pics: Star-ryder (2 different views of same plant)

Pic of all 3: Star-Ryder at bottom of pic, top right Autox, top left Think Different.

I tried putting my hand in the pic as a size-comparison because my ladies and their pots look tiny, but they're pretty large pots they're in.

Any advice guys?? They are at 26 days since heads showed (28 days from germ)I think I may have not used enough nitrogen for the first stage maybe? and I also started them off in 5inch seedling pots and repotted at day 10/12, which I won't do in future and will just put straight into their big pots!

Anyway, any advice guys? How they doing??

Cheers guys...

They seem to be going ok, although something has been munching one of them quite badly and not sure what? Been taking chunks out of the leaves (like 1-3 cm chunks!). I have a feeling it's a 'leaf cutter bee' as I've seen the 'cigar-like' things that they leave in the greenhouse??? It's not a type of fly/spidermite problem, much to bigger chunks for that, it's either slugs or leaf-cutter bee I think? But if it's slugs they haven't left any trace of themselves!

Any Ideas?

I've neemed them just now and will re-apply in a few days and hopefully that stops it. If not, then at this rate I wont have any leaves left on that 1 plant in a months time. It's weird, cos it's only on the 1 plant, even though they are so close together, and there is no sign of any bugs on it at all?

Also, any advanced tips you can give me to try and get more yield? I'm feeling I should have lst'd but think it's too late now?

What dya reckon?

Looking good mate, if theres no tell tale slime then you maybe right, catapillar s also eat a hell of a lot of green so keep an eye out for those

I've just tucked the leaves out of the way of the bud sites on mine, it's a daily task as they keep popping back up but getting easier as the side shoots grow

Cheers buddy... Will have to keep tabs on it over next couple of days and see if more gets munched!

This is the first whole day without any sun at all here in London and tomorrow is much the same, so I've taken this chance to neem them and give them their first 'bloom' feed in preparation for the few days of nice weather we have coming on Thurs, heating up to a nice 26-29c then and some good sun coming too by looks of it, so plants should start really taking off hopefully!

Just used a half dose of Canna Rhizo, half dose of Cannazyme, 1/4 dose of 'grow' nutes (npk 10-7-14) and 1/4 dose of 'flowering' nutes (npk 3-7-9) ready for the nice weather on Thurs :-) Then next feed (about 10 days time) will cut out the 'grow' nutes and go upto 1/2 dose on 'flowering' nutes, Rhizo and Cannazyme. Then after that will just give cannazyme and full dose flowering nutes for the remainder. Possibly adding Canna boost + Canna pk 13/14 at about day 50-55.

This is the first grow I've done with all the 'additives' and Canna nutes, before now I've just used standard Miracle Grow esk type feeds and they've always done ok, but just wanted to see if all the special nutes/additives do actually work like they say they do! What are your experience with these products guys? Whats the best of the Canna bunch? What are a waste of time? And when's best to give them what? Is above feeding schedule about right or am I missing something?

Please advise guys, I would really like if one of you top growers could tell me exactly what you'd do, given my plants conditions/environment etc...

What you growing anyway dude? Have you got a grow log on here?

Much love!

I'm known to wear white sox (without sandals!) and prefer blondes with a bit of vagazzle :D: similar weather

I think a member here called Si has started a thread somewhere about canna ferts (can't find it so possibly not?) so hold out bro and I'm sure you'll get help

My grow is in The Dragon Masters Seed Co forum, starts off indoors but had to evict a couple outside as my indoor space is small
I'm also having trouble in my greenhouse with pests, looks like someone has stood at the gh door with a sawn off shotgun!

Edit, sorry bro Si's thread was about bio bizz

Nice and interesting thread JB welcome to the forum!
Everything looks good to me, might want to check the humidity levels in the gh ? If its heated does that mean theres some power sockets? A decent fan might be a good purchase?
Hope they finish well, im subbed in

Aight Maffro, thanks for the welcome! And for your input also. :-)

Great idea about getting a fan in there!

Also, I was wondering, would my plants be better off left in the greenhouse in the daytime or outside? At the moment I bring them outside when it's a nice sunny day but when they're outside they're getting quite a battering from the wind. So wasn't sure if would be better off in the greenhouse (with just a breeze from the fan you suggest) but they'll only receive about half the amount of light in greenhouse compared to outside. Just not sure if they would do better with a constant light breeze in greenhouse but half the amount of light, or outside with double light but also double/triple the wind?? What dya reckon? ATM I'm feeling the light is more important and try and get them outside whenever possible, but I don't actually know if this is best for them?!

Leave em out, the wind will eventually make them stronger which is handy once the buds form then put em in in september when the temps drop. As for lst if they live in the same spot you can monitor the arc of the sun then tie them back away from the sun , gently at first ! This will give the bottom branches more exposure
