So guys which is best and why? Id love to go with the negative ion generator but i wanted to see if any if u had any experience

For me I've tried them all, the carbon filter is the only thing that will remove then smell besides vaportek discs and what not, but then you have a strong chemical smell which makes it smell like you just killed a cleaning lady and you're soaking her corpse in your bathtub.

Ok so theres a reason those are sold at grow shops more than those generators. Ill just have to make a box with those spund dampening egg shells in it to cut the sound down.

Yep ozone generators are bad for your health that's a definite. And they smell terrible.
And yep, the reason carbon filters are sold is due to the fact that they work better than anything else. If you get a low smelling strain and don't have immediate neighbors or have it in a closed room sometimes you can't even smell them. Now, if you're going for a skunk or Diesel strain then you want it and you want it before you start. But best to be smart and keep the smell down as much as you can. If you o l have a small space, you can make a carbon filter from two pencil cups and some aquarium filter charcoal.
And there's lots invests to make it quiet, and many methods where you could for instance use a regular charcoal filter and jimmyrig a quiet high volume fan to some ducting and get some good airflow and it would be quiet too.
Ya i have a sour diesel pineapple express and a critical soma so i think these girls will get stinky. Do u know any strains that arent that stinky but good yielding?

Northern lights is supposed to be a lower odor, but weed is weed and will smell like weed. I am running Mephisto beans and so far toof decay haven't been over the top but I'm about Ronstadt a grape crinkle which I imagine will smell.
I don't know as much about strain smells as some do but I did hear reports that with the crinkle you have to be right up on it to smell it.
Well im working in a walk in closet so ill be sticking my 8inch inline fan and can filter in there. Hopefully it can still get the smell out without as much negative pressure as id get with a grow tent
I've got an Oreck XL Professional air purifier and surprizingly, it works well so far. I don't often grow really stinky strains though either. I'll know soon, I have an odd Blue Dragon that stinks like chemdog!
ahh.. thanks. And I'm a cheapskate... I bought it on ebay for $19 and $30 shipping! Looks and works just like new. I've run it in the livingroom for a few days and you can't smell a thing! I'm putting it in the space between tents Its the air pumped out by the air conditioner in the growroom that needs scrubbing. I'll post when I have results.
