Just checked on plants today which are 6 weeks old and noticed one has gone pale green all over and another has got some brown leaves on top and yellow around some of the leaf edges. Both of these are much smaller indica phenotypes.

They have been fed a light feed of oldtimers bloom, growing in Canna Terra Pro, mag cal and molasses. Using a 600w HPS light.

Any ideas what's up? I think the little Moby dick has got a shortage of nitrogen and the other is possibly burned? I have fed the Moby 1ml of grow and 1ml per litre bloom this evening.

I have 3 other sativa phonotypes (Durban Poison, Critical XXL and Think Different), they appear to be doing fab so far, especially DP which has significantly thicker buds.

I use old timer and do 3ml/litre bloom at 6 weeks, which should give you enough nitrogen too. I use a seaweed tonic to, once a week from any local shop. Helps with plant stress. Old timer takes pH down one whole point what is your pH? My tap water in UK is 7.5 so this takes it down to 6.5.

My tap water is bang on 7, moderate hardness(fish keeper here). I was kinda hoping not to have to worry in soil.

I hadn't been feeding much due to ppl telling me to back off.

I'll let em dry a bit then give them a better feed. I did give the really pale one 1ml of bloom and grow for good measure last night.

How long did it take them to respond to organic nutrients?

Still looks ghostly this morning :(

Is this a straight up nitro deficiency or something more sinister?

Takes a few days.

Some of those very yellow bottom leaves will do this and is normal but if it continues upward like i see with pale green she might need a higher dose of nitrogen along with bloom nutes. If it doesn't change in a week or so I would flush with plain water with ph closer to 6.5.After she dries a little feed her some veg nutes and bloom nutes also ph'd near 6.5.Cal/mag should be about 5ml per gallon also

:toke: Sarah-- they are under fed, long term,... I see multiple defc.'s, and poor budding,.. P is seriously lacking, the main cause for the poor budding, and the larger necrotic patches on the leaves,.. at the top, it might be a micronutrient defc. kicking in,... I don't know what's in OT bloom, but the dosage needs to go up to finish these with anything decent,.. but past a point, this late in the game, the lack of nutes can't fix this back into nice solid high bud:leaf ratio buds....
Organics take longer, they need to be broken down into absorbable forms, plus they tend to be pretty mild.. diluting them isn't wise... also, you need a to get inoculants in there, the soil herd is KEY to organics, or the whole deal goes slow and poorly,... You also must monitor the in-pot pH with a decent soil pH probe (not a meter, liquids only on them)... the Accurate 8 is a good model,... if the pH goes out of range, both the soil herd suffers and the nutes may not remain in available forms, pH alters their chemistry and plants take up nutes only in very limited specific forms,...

Cheers, the bud development looks very good tbh so hopefully it's not too much of a set back.

It's coloured up nicely now thankfully so I'm quite pleased. They all had a good 3ml feed a couple of days ago. That pale plant has also took up a lot of water since the other day which is good as I think it just kinda paused.

I'm going to give another strong feed tonight. The other plants seem to be doing quite well the skinny sativa types are fattening up quite a bit now phew..
