Lighting Pal's first Photosensitive grow, The Ultimate.

Hey Grim, if you go on this link: http://www.coastal-koi.com/shopping.php?class_id=256
I use the Angel Aqua 150mm x 50mm cylinder diffuser, you just have to scroll down a bit to see it, this is my first run with this size as recommended by Seymour, but I've used the large flat round diffuser and a longer thinner cylindrical diffuser both by angel aqua and they all run great with similar performance.
Thanks for stopping by bro :peace:
Thanks pal that very similar to the Norres Pro air diffuser that i use

. Mines a 220m long version, how big do you get yours?

The ones I'm using now are 150mm bro, I've used the 220mm version too but I think I prefer these smaller sizes now, not as long but more chunky - performance is more dependant on the air pump as the diffusers I use are all made by Angel Aqua. I've not heard of/seen the Norres diffuser, how are you finding it? I really want a diffuser than will give super micro bubbles so it looks like gas rather than bubbles but not having any luck here in the UK. The closest thing I found was small wooden air stones (rectangle shape) made for aquariums and protein skimmers. They do put out some really fine bubbles, the only down side is that they're wooden and will rot after a few weeks and I was worried about the rotting wood maybe dropping harmful stuff in the res..decided to play it safe for this run :D :pass:

Update.

So today is day 4 of being in the buckets for my girls. They both dropped roots this morning into the water which was a nice surprise to wake up to. I then had to leave the house for 6 hours to work and I dropped a frozen water bottle into each res to keep temps down, unfortunately when I came home (temps were fine) but the water bottle has severed the very bottom of the tap root on girl number 1. I'm hoping she can continue to grow and develop more roots but for now girl number 2 has taken the lead, and worst case scenario if number 1 doesn't make it I'll just veg number 2 for longer and fill the tent with one beast :)
I also upped their feed today from 0.9EC to 1.1EC with another 20ml of Canna Start and 1.5ml of Silica (to adjust PH) PH is 5.6-6.0. Snapped a quick pic just to give you an idea of where they're at, but it's not great quality. :peace:

Feels good to be back, was lonely over in the photosensitive section :D That's awesome bro you must be excited, I should be placing my order next week too, soon we'll be rockin' the new tech together! How many units did you order? :pass:

Day 5 in the buckets for these girls, number 1 hasn't improved much in the root department but I think that's fair for a tap root decapitation! Hopefully it's just slowed her a bit and not completely ruined so I'm keeping my eye on her. Number 2 chugging along nicely, she's fractionally larger that her sister and the first root that emerged is now over an inch long out side of the net pot. Things should start picking up soon :pass:

I'm going to order two. I do love a new toy! And the Trichromes look out of this world under the new spectrum and diffusion. Sugar time.[emoji7]

Nice to see a root at the bottom of your DWC should be a biggie! Laters

Not much has changed since yesterday, the girls still look a bit hungry under certain light but I don't want to over do it with the canna start, I'm already over the maximum dilution recommendation :D I added 1L of water to each bucket this morning including 2ml of root stim and then upped the EC to 1.2 total (0.7EC minus my tap water) PH 5.6. I honestly have no idea what EC you're supposed to start photos at since this is my first try but they're not dead yet :D I like having the knowledge that even if you stunt them or mess up you can just add a bit of veg time and recover them, very chill compared to ticking time bomb autos where one mistake could compromise yield. Hopefully these girls will pull through :peace:
