Lighting Pal's first Photosensitive grow, The Ultimate.

Been struggling last few days to find the sweet spot for the girls as I've been away from the house a lot more than usual, the roots are still developing nicely but up top we have leaves drying out and signs of cal/mag deficiency! Needless to say the girls aren't looking too hot today! I decided to make them both a fresh res this afternoon to try and start a clean slate, 15L water, 40ml Root Stim, 10ml Calcium, 10ml Magnesium and 5ml Canna Start, EC 1.0 PH 5.7. I'm not sure if switching over to the aqua has caused a few issues so I'm playing it safe for now, the majority of the EC is from the calcium and magnesium to be honest so hopefully that will get those blemishes to halt. If this doesn't resolve the issues then it has to be either my PH meter or the calcium and magnesium supplements..will keep checking on them and update when necessary, not had time for pics again but will get some up soon :peace:

Got my fingers crossed for you bro.

Thanks bro, I always seem to have shakey starts in hydro! All the autos I did pulled through so should be able to recover these two..just hoping it's not a PH issue, I calibrated it before starting but these things don't last forever! Got some pics so let me know what you think boss man :pass:

So I've got some pics, maybe you guys can help me diagnose these two? My guess was over fed then cal/mag issues but could be wrong, let me know what you think :)

Ultimate 1, she's taken the lead again now as her sister is rather unhappy..

Bit quiet round here! :D

So..The girls still weren't looking very happy with me when I got back from work today despite the EC remaining stable, very slight growth from number 1, number 2 still being stubborn. I've made them yet another fresh res (hopefully they'll appreciate this one!) and I've tried to make it as basic as possible to swing these two back around. 15L water, 40ml Root Stim, 15ml Aqua A&B, EC 0.8 PH 5.7.
I've got a team mate helping out whilst I've been busy, he's been staying on top of res temps for me. He hasn't been growing as long as me (which isnt much) but I talk to him directly about my processes so he shares whatever knowledge I sap up from AFN. Going to speak to him tomorrow eve as he suggested we should scrap these two and revert back to soil for the summer as originally planned..to be honest it would be a relief but I hate to give up on any plant so gonna give them a few days, some decent growth may sway my decision :D Will report back on their condition tomorrow. :peace:

Hey mate i hope you girls pick up soon. Sorry i cant offer any advice, never grown in hydro and still new to growing myself but theres a lot of experienced hydro growers on here you could call on seymour buds, dwc cocha, grey bear, the groff just to name a few maybe one of them could chime in

Soil man here as well,But looks over nuted. Soil is good in the summer naturally cool. Especially with an HS1.

As they are photos you could try a transplant ?[emoji2]

DW usually frequents these parts! Think he's been decorating .

Thanks for stopping by bro, was nice to log on to a like bomb :D To be honest I think I just over did it with cal/mag supplements cos they're super concentrated, gonna give the girls some more time to see if they bounce back, failing that it's my PH meter just giving up so if that's the case I'll be having problems until I get a replacement..I dont PH or EC in soil anyway so if I make the switch I'll be ready to start almost immediately.

Hey Bunny, my hydro grows always start this way - I'm sure I will perfect it eventually! Yeah going soil for summer was my initial idea but because I've been away from growing for quite some time I wanted to jump back in with the big guns :D Will give them a week or so before making any decisions..and yes I think you're right, DWCocha must be busy decorating (or working on a new jungle) but I'm used to AFN feeling quiet lately, I'm sure things will start picking up soon.
