Lighting Pal's first Photosensitive grow, The Ultimate.

Okay so here's the most recent plan..I will keep one of the girls in hydro and scrap the smaller of the two. Then, over the next couple of weeks I'm going to set up a soil grow in a smaller tent. This way I get to keep experimenting with my DWC girl and have the soil grow to back me up if anything (else) goes wrong. And if the remaining girl in hydro isnt worth keeping then it will be an all out soil blitz in two tents. I've got no deadlines or need to rush so starting over isn't an issue :) I'll snap a few pics of the girl I'm keeping after this smoke :peace:

:pass:

Got those pics from this morning.. EC remains stable at 0.8, PH 5.7. I've removed the cal/mag from the res to see if anything changes, although my main suspicion right now is that my PH meter must be out of whack, will know next week when I have another to compare it to. I've also removed the most damaged foliage. Any advice welcomed. :peace:

Ultimate 2, she got pulled today

Ultimate 1, my remaining girl - still not completely happy but new growth looks promising so will give her a few more days, she might get the chop too

Roots still doing okay, get the odd breakage here and there but she's fighting through it

Since I'm only running one bucket I've put both my new airstones into the res, 15LPM through each stone so 30LPM total, bubbles look crazy

Ultimate 1 all alone in the tent, been running these girls on 24/0 as well due to RH shooting up in dark periods, seeing what I can do about a dehumidifier but I don't want to buy a cheap one..

That's all for now, like I said all opinions/advice are welcomed, I'm just free for all'ing right now :D Today is day 13 :peace:

Hay bro sorry you have been struggling, growing in mud is way less hands on than hydro and you can get wicked results with a dialled in set up.

That's all good my brother :pass: I do love the simplicity of a soil grow especially with organics..I'm gonna give this girl a week or so, by then I'll have all my equipment for a soil grow so I can either do it on the side of this hydro lady or just have two set ups running both soil...just been having a shakey start trying to figure out what the problem is, looks underfed in the pictures now! I'm rubbish at diagnosing - it's been too long :D

Sorry to say it guys but we've decided to scrap the hydro grow for now! Temps are only getting harder to control and I'm going to be away from the grow more and more with work over the summer. I've already put in an order for supplies and will have 2 set ups running next week, both soil. One set up will be this tent (1.2x1.2x2.0) and the other a 80x80x160. Both set ups will be fed with bottled organic nutes and will be lit up using a combination of MS006's and the new HS1's - can't wait to get rolling :D Thanks to those few of you that followed me this far, sorry for the abrupt finish! :peace:

Looking forward to your organic shenanigans ! How about one Tent HS1 and one 0006 so we can see the difference? Having witnessed increased Cal mag issues when the 0006 lights were left far too close in my latest grow. And witnessing increased Trichromes under hs1 in other threads. I theorise the new lights spectrum and light distribution does less damage to the plant cells and promotes healthier growth. Hence increased veg growth and better quality product? Who knows but Tang has noticed less need for cal mag supplements, and Amazing Sugar!

Hey Bunny :) I do love a good comparison but the two set ups are different sizes and hopefully will be running different strains (waiting to hear back from Dutch Passion Tony). I plan to own 8-10 HS1's to run 3 set ups over the next few months so there should be plenty to stay tuned for, comparison or not :D Should be receiving my first unit next week! Super excited to get them all running, I plan to veg one girl in my 80x80 with HS1 due to the good feedback I've been reading and then add an MS006 unit for extra flower power, it's a small tent but I expect 7-10oz from that set up. Eventually my 1.2x1.2 tent will have 4 HS1's running, 2 for veg, 4 for flower and I have a wardrobe space pretty much the same size, want another 4 in there :D It's all a work in progress and obviously cannot afford to buy 10 units all at once so I'll be adding lights as I grow ;) Stay tuned bro! :pass:

Mate with this heatwave forecast I think putting the buckets on hold is a good call,it's been a long time since its been 33c in the UK so there will be a lot growers struggling.

Yeah there's no fighting it mate! A chiller might do the job but if I'm investing money in grow equipment you know it's gonna be for the HS1s :pass:
